Hardware can be automatically generated by using high level synthesis (HLS) technology. The generated hardware becomes large, leading to increased chip size and price when a target image processing includes multiple functions. If we can introduce the concept of software dynamin link library (DLL) to hardware, large-scale processing software can be implemented in a small device which leads to price reduction. Our research aims to realize hardware level DLL that contains the circuit data of the HLS hardware in a library and dynamically reconfigures the required hardware module in a library on demand by Dynamic Partial Reconfiguration (DPR) on FPGA. To accomplish our research objective, this paper establishes a unified design flow from HLS hardware generation to circuit data generation. In addition, this paper develops a hardware platform supporting dynamic runtime-link of HLS hardware module. The experimental result shows that hardware runtime-link can be accomplished correctly and the reconfiguration time can be negligibly small.","PeriodicalId":173819,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 7th IIAE International Conference on Industrial Application Engineering 2019","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126785189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is necessary to have a system that makes landmarks that exist in all places and that can detect positions easily and clearly. Therefore, in this paper we propose a position estimation method using photodiodes and LED illumination. In one of our previous method, two photodiodes and one LED lighting were used, and it depended on the maximum value of the illuminance just under the LED lighting. However, as the characteristic of LED lighting changes the maximum value of illuminance depending on time, it was necessary to periodically measure and update the maximum value of illuminance. In this study, we used two photodiodes to realize a method to estimate the position irrespective of the brightness variation of LED lighting. Moreover, since the system itself uses inexpensive photodiodes, it has a merit of low cost.","PeriodicalId":173819,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 7th IIAE International Conference on Industrial Application Engineering 2019","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123972745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it has some problems. The transfer robot have to have a determined route. In addition, if there is a package on the traveling route, it has a possibility of collision. Thus, a technology for obstacle detection is important to avoid collision. As obstacle detection sensors recently, ultrasonic sensors, PSD sensors, and cameras are often used. However, there are several disadvantages. Ultrasonic sensors include errors due to sound noise, so they should be used in a quiet environment. The measurable distance of the PSD sensor is narrow. In addition, the sensor malfunctions due to irregular reflection from the floor. As for a camera, as it is necessary to sequentially update the background image, the calculation cost is high, and the detection accuracy is not high as compared with other sensors. To solve the problems, this study proposes an obstacle detection method using a line laser and a camera. This method can detect obstacles over a wide range. It can calculate the width of obstacles with simple calculation. It has the following advantages in comparison with the conventional method. (1) Simple image processing. (2) No affection by fluctuations in lighting and noise. (3) Simple calibration. Therefore, it can greatly reduce preliminary work.","PeriodicalId":173819,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 7th IIAE International Conference on Industrial Application Engineering 2019","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116258360","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the novel test method with self-traveling roller, the cart which was the loading part of a carrier roller was dragged in the driving direction vertically pushing the flat conveyor belt between the roller and rigid and straight aluminum rail flame. In conventional test method with endless driven belt, Indentation load and indentation rolling resistance was measured by two load cells attached between bearing holder for carrier roller and the flame vertically and horizontally, respectively. The trace of indentation displacements were not symmetric, where time to recovery was longer than that to indent. The relationship between their experimental results obtained by the novel method in which self-traveling roller was applied was well agreed with that by conventional test method. Hysteresis loops were observed, when load-displacement curves was investigated under simple vertical indentation. The hysteresis loss energy was not depended on the clamping condition, while the increasing point of the curves was different. Novel test method with self-traveling roller had a potential as a substitutive test method to evaluate the indentation rolling resistance of the conveyer belt.","PeriodicalId":173819,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 7th IIAE International Conference on Industrial Application Engineering 2019","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125581979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, along with its evolution, there is a problem of increasing the cost and the power consumption by increasing the chip size of system-on-chip (SoC) in terminal. One of approaches tackling this problem is to take advantage of Dynamic Partial Reconfiguration (DPR) on reconfigurable devices. In DPR, large-scale circuits can be time-divisionally executed on a small die in SoC. In other words, cost reduction and power saving can be achieved with the minimum necessary chip size. In this research, we attempt to show a performance merit of DPR by performing a time division execution of a large scale circuit on small portion in a reconfigurable device, Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). In addition, we try to estimate how much cost can be reduced in the current general FPGA by using DPR.","PeriodicalId":173819,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 7th IIAE International Conference on Industrial Application Engineering 2019","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133218078","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
