There are always some unexpected events such as natural disasters or calamities which can obstruct the smooth operation of logistics system. In severe events, failed logistics can bring urban regions to chaos. According to the principle of early warning, emergency performance evaluation should be carried out. In this paper, we incorporate a few evaluation methods such as Delphi method, AHP, fuzzy judgment, present a new comprehensive evaluation method that can take different factors of urban logistics into account.","PeriodicalId":173716,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Logistics Engineering and Intelligent Transportation Systems","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131547049","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, multi-attribute bilateral matching problem is discussed based on the consideration of stable matching. Concepts and definitions of multi-attribute bilateral stable matching are presented firstly, followed by the definitions and sorting rules of the matching extent. Subsequently evaluation functions and evaluation rules for the stable matching results are proposed, and then an improved state transition strategy and an improved pheromone update strategy, which are suitable for this problem, are introduced. Based on the above-mentioned preparation, this paper presents an improved ant colony algorithm, and the simulation results demonstrate that the algorithm can solve the traditional stable matching problem, and is also effective in the multi-attribute bilateral stable matching problem solving.","PeriodicalId":173716,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Logistics Engineering and Intelligent Transportation Systems","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130986950","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The papers put forward a new way to provide real-time transit information for BRT based on GPS/Signpost compound Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) technology. Compared the traditional signpost system, the upgrade system locates bus accurate position of arrival/departure at stop via the existing BRT platform facility which is called Platform Screen Doors (PSDs) system, only when the bus stops at depot within a permissible error range, the driver can open/close PSDs using Onboard transmitter to send out a signal which is received by Platform receivers which is mounted at Platform edge. Using the existing resource, the upgrade system combines GPS and Signpost or called PSDs system in this article to provide real-time information about transit services to passengers in Ji'an BRT system. The passengers are satisfied with real-time transit information, particularly accurate information of buses arrival and departure at stop. And it can make up the drawbacks of failing to disseminate bus location due to missing data of GPS.","PeriodicalId":173716,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Logistics Engineering and Intelligent Transportation Systems","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133867115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The safe driving awareness was considered as a factor in contributing to vehicle crashes. In this study, a creative method to improve safety awareness based on driving simulator was proposed. Firstly, the definition and classification of safety driving awareness was analyzed. Second, the procedure for drivers appropriately control vehicle to response to risk situation was discussed. The compositions, characteristic parameters, trigger condition and implements mode of risk situation were all designed and then implemented to generate a virtual driving scenario according to characteristic of simulation driving. Finally, one experimental group of 10 middle-aged participants were subject to driver training and driving skills were constantly assessed and corrected to ensure effective vehicle handling and control for evasive driving. The results indicated that the participants reduced their speed sooner when approaching hazards, and braked earlier than untrained drivers. Meanwhile the improvement of safe driving awareness is found for all the participants after hands-on practice in lifelike simulation scenarios. Therefore, the simulator is a valuable tool for drivers statewide to develop a conditioned response to a given risky situation and to improve the safety driving awareness.","PeriodicalId":173716,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Logistics Engineering and Intelligent Transportation Systems","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115696790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
