Fluoride concentration in leachate is equivalent to that of Japanese regulatory leaching test 46 (JLT-46) and can be estimated rapidly by using a new method in which the samples are stirred at a high speed in a ball mill. This method greatly improved the estimation accuracy. For linear regression, the coefficient of determination between the leached amount of JLT-46 and the estimated value obtained via the quick method was R=0.95, with a standard error of 0.75 mg/L, for gypsum and R=0.98, with a standard error of 0.32 mg/L, for fly ash. This is a promising method that can be introduced as part of the inspection process for recycled materials.","PeriodicalId":173171,"journal":{"name":"Journal of groundwater hydrology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129399259","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the area, a lot of groundwater was used with wells from long ago because of a little surface water resource, and the conservation and management of groundwater is a most important policy of the city. In this paper, water use, water balance and water quality in the two plains were compiled based on our previous research. As the result, it was indicated that the dependency of irrigation water on groundwater was relatively high and over-pumping has been often a matter on severe lowering of groundwater level and seawater intrusion in the Saijyo plain. It was also analyzed that the seepage from paddy fields played an important role on groundwater recharge in both of plains. Furthermore, it was shown that high concentration of nitrate nitrogen in groundwater was a problem in Shuso plain due to the use of fertilizer in orchards.","PeriodicalId":173171,"journal":{"name":"Journal of groundwater hydrology","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127867800","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the extracted keywords, original papers and rapid communications were categorized by research themes, and it was found that many researches on dating, isotope ratio, nitrate nitrogen, denitrification, etc. were reported. Based on these results, this paper describes a research concept on hardware and software that looks 10 to 20 years into the near future, focusing on “ Visualization of uncertainties in groundwater modeling technologies ” , “ Real-time data analysis and information dissemination ” , “ Estimation and management of groundwater resources for sustainable use ” , “ Drilling, verification and maintenance of wells ” , etc., which have hardly been reported in recent years.","PeriodicalId":173171,"journal":{"name":"Journal of groundwater hydrology","volume":"101 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116291681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
