This scheme allocates bits to objects using non-cooperative game theory. Every object is considered as a player in game where each player fights for the bits that best represent its contents. Simulations of the proposed scheme show promising results. These results show that our system has maintained the buffer at the half of its capacity with efficient bit allocation and accuracy of nearly 99.5 %.","PeriodicalId":173102,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Innovations in Information Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124395157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We give details of our previous SMT system, and present our current development of significantly larger corpora. We explain how recent tests using much larger corpora helped to evaluate problems in parallel corpus alignment, corpus content, and how matching the domains of PeEn-SMT's components affect translation outcome. We then focus on combining corpora and approaches to improve test data, showing details of experimental setup, together with a number of experiment results and comparisons between them. We show how one combination of corpora gave us a metric score outperforming Google Translate for the English-to-Persian translation. Finally, we outline areas of our intended future work, and how we plan to improve the performance of our system to achieve higher metric scores, and ultimately to provide accurate, reliable language translation.","PeriodicalId":173102,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Innovations in Information Technology","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124545780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this increased the testing and verification time because of of the increasing complexity of this bus structure and its interface. Therefore, system level verification can be efficiently used in order to reduce verification time, and hence reduce systems level design flow time. In this paper, we propose to verify the PCI-X bus architecture using Event-B first-order verification method. We provide a system level model for the bus structure and then, formally verify properties related to its operation.","PeriodicalId":173102,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Innovations in Information Technology","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131758570","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although, the collaborative filtering approach is the widely used, but it suffers from several problems, one of these problems is known as the cold start problem (for example, if a new user visit Amazon web site for first time, then the Amazon system becomes unable to generate recommendations). We suggested the active node technique as a method of solution to the cold start problem, and we integrate collected users' preferences within a semantic structure, and we compare between non-semantic and semantic structure of the active node method based on three criteria novelty, coverage, and precision of generated recommendations. We found that the semantic structure achieve higher performance than non-semantic.","PeriodicalId":173102,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Innovations in Information Technology","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132769659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Information detection or retrieval were a challenged task especially with the spread of multimedia applications and the increased number of the video acquisition devices such as the surveillance cameras, phones cameras. These have produced a large amount of video data which are also diversified and complex. This is what makes event detection in video a difficult task. Many video event detection methods were developed which are composed of two fundamental parts: video indexing and video classification. In this paper, we will introduce a new video event detection system based on graphs. Our system models the video frame as a graph in addition to a motion description. Thereafter, these models were classified and events are detected. Experimental results proved the effectiveness and the robustness of our system.","PeriodicalId":173102,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Innovations in Information Technology","volume":"8 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124463359","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even though the first Arabic dictionary was developed almost 1500 years ago, the state of the art in Arabic dictionaries has not made much progress and falls far behind dictionaries for other languages. We propose a framework for building dictionaries that are game-like in their level of interactivity, and thus provide an immersive environment for children to enthusiastically explore more concepts, images, and vocabulary.","PeriodicalId":173102,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Innovations in Information Technology","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114810200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

WLANs which supports Multiple Access Points (APs), either require maximum number of orthogonal channels for individual links to reduce channel interference or some new strategies adopt to improve the utilization of orthogonal channels. This paper is deeming to find an efficient way to utilize the partially overlapped channels of 2.4 GHz band as the orthogonal channels for WLAN backhaul links, which has achieved high throughput due to minimum interference between static links of backhaul with directional antennas. In proposed work an equation is derived to find sets of orthogonal channels of 2.4 GHz band, directed graph applied on sets of orthogonal channels in two-step approach (direct links and directional links) of each node. This study has produced throughput results approximately double as compared to traditional channel assignment with utilization of Partially Overlapped Channels (POS). Future lines of this work would be to analyze proposed channel assignment over backhaul using 5 GHz band to reduce adjacent channel interference, same concept can be useful to increase the system performance with MIMO and wireless mesh networks.","PeriodicalId":173102,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Innovations in Information Technology","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121674316","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a type of interactive design which takes advantage of haptic human interaction skills by giving physical form to digital information. Using our hands and physical motions in a tangible environment, we can interact with complex technologies and witness their effect on our peripheral senses. A lot of research has been done on tangible computing in the past, but our primary focus in this paper is to highlight the difference in student motivation and performance when both tangible and traditional learning methods are considered. A WiMAX Cell Design Game using the ZigBee toolkit was developed as an application of tangible game based learning system. The game uses hands-on cubes to study and present the signal propagation using the Erceg model to the students. The effectiveness of the game toolkit was studied by asking ten undergraduate students to play the game, and a discussion of their feedback is provided.","PeriodicalId":173102,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Innovations in Information Technology","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123914991","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Experimental results showed that, for small query regions, MSI structure outperforms the SBI structure.","PeriodicalId":173102,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Innovations in Information Technology","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127115096","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
