To minimize the human effort and maximize the number of faults detected, it is desirable to generate automatically test cases. The white box testing approach aims to study the internal structure and behavior of a program by considering some source code coverage criteria. The generation of test cases can be formulated as an optimization problem: searching for a minimum set of test case with the aim of covering as many targets as possible, given an adequacy criterion. In this paper, we propose an enhanced genetic algorithm in order to automatically generate test cases for object-oriented classes. On the one hand, we aim to propose a new strategy for chromosome representation as well as genetic operators (i.e., selection, mutation and crossover) in order to augment the speed of GA and produce effective compact test suites. On the other hand, we adapt our proposed approach to generate test cases for not only unit testing of a method but also integration testing with other methods. The experiment has been conducted for some case studies to assess our proposed approach. The empirical results show that our GA outperformed the state of the arts and the generated test cases allowed to reveal faults which are hard to be found by individual testing.","PeriodicalId":171525,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Research, Innovation and Vision for the Future in Computing & Communication Technologies","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121092131","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the literature, although significant efforts have been devoted to optimizing the charging schedule, it still remains a challenging problem. In this paper, we study how to prolong the network lifetime by optimizing the charging time. Specifically, we aim at proposing a charging schedule that maximizes the minimum residual energy of sensors. We first mathematically formulate the problem under mixed integer and linear programming. Then, we propose a lightweight heuristic algorithm. The experiment results show that our proposed algorithms extend network lifetime more than 10% compared to the state-of-the-art.","PeriodicalId":171525,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Research, Innovation and Vision for the Future in Computing & Communication Technologies","volume":"07 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129945244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such ontology can effectively support coreference resolution in textual documents. To develop a sentiment ontology, one can start from a preliminary comprehensive knowledge base and gradually enrich it. This paper proposes a method to a sentiment ontology, which is based on the instance relationship captured from collected data. Our approach is a hybrid one based on rules, dependence grammar, and existing knowledge bases, such as WordNet and Opinion Lexicon. The application of a dependency grammar is to find relationships between components in the ontology and WordNet is used to identify semantic classes for unknown words and phrases. We have experimented our approach with real datasets and the preliminary results are quite promising.","PeriodicalId":171525,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Research, Innovation and Vision for the Future in Computing & Communication Technologies","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121916048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the performance of these systems is low due to the lack of two issues: first, the imbalance of the training set. Second, the size of the training set is very small compared to the dimension of the feature. In this paper, we propose the image retrieval method, SVMITS (SVM-based relevant feedback for class imbalance training set), to overcome the above limitations. Our proposed method solves the first problem through resampling techniques and the second is through reducing the number of dimensions of the features. Finally, we incorporate resampling techniques, dimension reduction, and ensemble-based learning techniques to improve the accuracy of image retrieval using SVM-based relevant feedback. To illustrate the effectiveness of our proposed method, we provide empirical results on a database of 10800 images.","PeriodicalId":171525,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Research, Innovation and Vision for the Future in Computing & Communication Technologies","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122304725","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An important part of a caching solution is cache replacement policy, which is responsible for selecting victim items that should be removed in order to make space for new objects. Typical replacement policies used in practice only take advantage of temporal reference locality by removing the least recently/frequently requested items from the cache. Although those policies work well in memory or filesystem cache, they are inefficient for Web systems since they do not exploit semantic relationship between Web items. This paper presents a semantic-aware caching policy that can be used in Web systems to enhance scalability. The proposed caching mechanism defines semantic distance from a web page to a set of pivot pages and use the semantic distances as a metric for choosing victims. Also, it use a function-based metric that combines access frequency and cache item size for tie-breaking. Our simulations show that out enhancements outperform traditional methods in terms of hit rate, which can be useful for websites with many small and similar-in-size web objects.","PeriodicalId":171525,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Research, Innovation and Vision for the Future in Computing & Communication Technologies","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127130768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although there is a high number of users, the adherence of users to the intervention is low. Meanwhile, user non-adherence could happen on purpose. However, the reasons for this circumstance are not well examined, particularly from a user's perspective. The question of which features engage them to use as well as to continue using these interventions are not well understood. From the designer's perspective, to answer this question, it is essential to understand the context of app uses, particularly, three precedent questions: who are intended users, what they use it for, and why they use it need to be examined. This study answers these three questions by analyzing user reviews of several sample mental health applications which the core design is primarily based on a CBT. The qualitative analysis indicates that most of reviews are from people with common MH problems. Some people simply use the app to relax, track their mood, practice mindfulness, self-care, or build healthy habits. The majority of users have used the apps as complementary to the professional-based treatment. Users use the app because it makes them more positive, happy, self-conscious, calm, fun, focused, relaxed, motivated, mindful, self-controlled or better at sleep. Importantly, they highly appreciate the ability to figure out what going on their health, to help them keep on progress of health, to see correlation between causes and effects of their health problems, to conduct self-evaluation and self-reflection, to learn good things, to build good habits, and to provoke, reframe, and organize their thoughts. These findings will help the designers think of appropriate approaches to design the app which helps users better at achieving their targets.","PeriodicalId":171525,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Research, Innovation and Vision for the Future in Computing & Communication Technologies","volume":"392 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126745890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among the available treatments, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) based mental health applications (apps) have been introduced as promising in helping people deal with common mental illnesses by themselves. However, the theoretical underpinnings for technological approaches used to design these interventions have not been clarified. Based on the literature and its relevance to CBT, theories of Persuasive Technology could be potentially used as a suitable approach to design. However, an embrace of persuasive technology has not been widely studied, particularly from the user's perspectives. Therefore, this study has evaluated and explored the user's perception on the persuasiveness of mental health apps by conducting a qualitative analysis of user reviews. The findings of this study will contribute to the designers in developing highly persuasive mental health apps. The results indicated that where the principles of the persuasive systems design (PSD) model were integrated into the design, users expressed satisfaction with the design.","PeriodicalId":171525,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Research, Innovation and Vision for the Future in Computing & Communication Technologies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129671816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two Vietnamese End-to-End architectures using Connectionist Temporal Classification (CTC) as the loss function are proposed. The paper also presents the method to construct phonesets based on Vietnamese characters or tonemes to produce the label sequence for any given transcription when applying CTC model. The experimental results showed that CTC based End-To-End models are competitive to traditional models with only 5% of WER worse for Vietnamese speech recognition (SR), but the advantage is no requirement of forced alignment for training acoustic models. In addition, it is similar to proposed studies using traditional models, the tone information and the toneme set are solutions to optimize the performance for Vietnamese SR.","PeriodicalId":171525,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Research, Innovation and Vision for the Future in Computing & Communication Technologies","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116325649","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
