All types of amblyopia were included and subjects with systemic or ocular diseases were excluded. After history taking, ophthalmoscopy, visual acuity was measured with and without pinhole in the amblyopic eye. Visual acuity was also recorded by using blue and yellow filter with and without pinhole by placing in front of amblyopic eyes to assess the difference in visual acuity with filters and with pinhole. Comparative analysis of changes in visual acuity in amblyopic eye with and without blue filter, with and without yellow filters and with blue and yellow filters were performed by Paired sample T-test for qualitative variable (visual acuity) by using SPSS 20.\u0000Results: Visual acuity in amblyopic eye without filter (mean꞊0.52 ± .28) was lower than with blue (mean 0.31 ± .26) and yellow filters (mean 0.46 ± .30) and visual acuity with blue filter was higher than with yellow filter with the incorporation of Pinhole (P.H). The probability value of blue filters was (P = 0.00) and with yellow filters (P = 0.001) at the level of 5% of confidence interval. Participants feel more clarity, sharpness with blue filters but more comfort with yellow filters.\u0000Conclusion: Visual acuity of amblyopes was significantly improved with blue filters as compared to yellow filter.

The retrieved manuscripts were arranged according to the number of total citations since publication to identify the 100 most-cited manuscripts. They were investigated for the total number of citations, type and name of the journal, year of publication, names of the first authors, country of origin, type of study, and main topic. The Visualization of Similarities (VOS) viewer was used to establish and visualize the bibliometric networks in this study.\u0000Results: The search retrieved 2069. Majority of the 100 most-cited manuscripts were published in the leading ophthalmology journals (96%). They were written by 477 authors. Spaide RF, Yannuzzi LA, and Eandi CM were the top three authors. The most frequently publishing country was USA (27%) and the most productive institutions were identified in USA and Holland. The most common topics were imaging (41%), such as optical coherence tomography (21%) and optical coherence tomography angiography (2%). We employed non-probability, convenience sampling technique and the total population of faculty under the Department of Surgery was sampled, including clinical fellows. Residents, research associates, and ophthalmology faculty were subsequently excluded. The survey contained questions in 4 categories; consent, relevant practices of DM, knowledge regarding DR and referral practices to an ophthalmologist. Scoring was based on a 5-point Likert scale with 5 being the most rigorous practice. Data was entered into SPSS v.23. Qualitative data was reported as frequencies with percentages, and quantitative data was reported as mean with standard deviation.\u0000Results: Out of 40 participants, 87.5% had excellent practices of diabetes mellitus and 77.5% had excellent knowledge of diabetic retinopathy. Referral practices to an ophthalmologist were graded fair in 75% and poor in 15% whereas, referral practices were fair or poor across all surgical specialties.\u0000Conclusion: Our study indicates a gap between knowledge and practices of surgeons regarding DM. Socio demographic data, symptoms, ocular manifestations, and result of reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) from nasopharyngeal and conjunctival swabs for SARS-CoV-2were collected. Conjunctival swab was taken 1 – 4 days after the nasopharyngeal swab. Patients were divided into two groups; group with ocular symptoms and the other group with ocular signs. Patients with ocular signs had chemosis, conjunctival hyperemia, and eye discharge. This group also included patients who were on Ventilator and could not complain about their ocular problems. Data were analyzed using Spearman correlation analysis with p-value less than 0.05 considered as statistically significant.\u0000Results: Conjunctival swab PCR was negative in 95.7% patients. Correlation between COVID-19 severity and conjunctival swab was also not significant (P = 0.589). Only 2 subjects (4.3%) who had ocular signs and symptoms revealed positive PCR (p> 0.05). Similarly severity of the disease was also not correlated with positivity of conjunctival swab (p>0.05).\u0000Conclusions: The limited sensitivity of conjunctival specimens based on the result of this study showed that the diagnostic value of conjunctival specimens for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 is low.

Search criteria were; published studies after theyear of 2000 and included Saudi population. Any studies that focused on subtypes of glaucoma and their relations with other ocular conditions were excluded. There were three studies that estimated the prevalence of glaucoma in Saudi Arabia. The prevalence reported in these studies ranged from 5.4% to 5.8%. However, these studies were conducted in specific regions and did not represent the national prevalence of glaucoma in Saudi Arabia. It was concludedthat there is a high demand for accurate estimate for the national prevalence of glaucoma in Saudi Arabia. Accurate estimate of prevalence and epidemiology of glaucoma leads to constrain the challenges of glaucoma as a public health concern in Saudi Arabia.
