The research is aimed at improving the energy efficiency of electrical circuits of supercapacitors by changing their initial voltages. Energy-optimal modes of charge of supercapacitors are determined and the influence of its non-zero initial voltages on the energy transfer coefficient is substantiated. The conditions for reducing energy losses in the circuits of supercapacitor charge from the accumulator battery are determined.","PeriodicalId":169630,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 7th International Conference on Energy Smart Systems (ESS)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127996775","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Formulated requirements for organization of the demand aggregation potential estimation in different electricity market segment and the estimation algorithm has been proposed. In the context of limited information, a rapid analysis is proposed to evaluate the aggregate potential of demand aggregation in the electricity market. The efficiency criterion for power consumption management potential use as an indicator of efficiency at the express analysis of the consumer group is offered. The results of the calculations allow the aggregator to decide on their projected potential capabilities at the stage of the appropriate “portfolio of consumers” formation and if necessary, to deepen the research level of individual consumers groups. The proposed approaches will also allow power market aggregators to manage electricity consumption, attract private investment and increase competition.","PeriodicalId":169630,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 7th International Conference on Energy Smart Systems (ESS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130963071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main features of the controllable electric power transmission under consideration are the use of a new type of overhead power transmission lines, which are controlled by devices of regulation reactive power. The concept of FACTS is that the power line ceases to be a passive device for transporting electricity and turns into an active a system involved in controlling the operating modes of the electrical bulk network. The FACTS devices allow controlling the parameters of transmission extra high voltage line that determine the operation of power bulk systems, such as line impedance, current, voltage, phase shift angle between voltages at the ends of the line etc. The use of FACTS devices improves the efficiency of active and reactive power flow control and voltage regulation in the network.","PeriodicalId":169630,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 7th International Conference on Energy Smart Systems (ESS)","volume":"62 12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128351881","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The unique features of developed UPS are: input power factor correction, very wide voltage range (85 - 264 VAC with ability to sustain up to 420 VAC without any damage or fuse opening), galvanic isolation of output (this allows to make common neutral connection). The proposed topology has modified sinewave output voltage and is aimed at low-cost, low-power (up to 150 W) systems. The UPS is built using multiport flyback converter topology, allowing to use only one inductive element in the power circuit. It will start and operate either with or without battery, as well as with shorted battery, thus allowing battery replacement “on-the-fly”, without switching off the load. The proposed UPS is primarily for use with remote surveillance cameras, routers, switches, etc.","PeriodicalId":169630,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 7th International Conference on Energy Smart Systems (ESS)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129360408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The application of technologies that emulates the dynamic response of the synchronous generators has been a feasible solution. This paper focuses on finding the bests control adjustment of the fast-active power injection/absorption (FAPIA) model by using an optimization algorithm. The FAPIA model has two frequency sensible control actions: a proportional control $(pmb{K}-pmb{f})$ and a derivative control $(pmb{K}-pmb{df}/pmb{dt})$. The optimization problem is defined using the gains of the proportional and derivative control together with the volume of FAPIA model contribution as decision variables. Two objective functions are determined based on two system frequency response indicators: minimum frequency, the and steady-state frequency. A simplified version of the Nordic power system is implemented for system frequency response studies.","PeriodicalId":169630,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 7th International Conference on Energy Smart Systems (ESS)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133671355","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The algorithms use the full values and the symmetrical components of the mode parameters from all sides of the line. If necessary, the replacement circuit of the line to the scheme of two-sided power is performed by equivalencies the parameters. The calculation in accordance with the method based on the use of the parameters of the direct sequence equivalent circuit and the constituent parameters of the direct sequence mode does not depend on the type of short circuit (SC). In the method based on the principle of remote relay protection, calculations are performed depending on the type of short circuit. For the technical implementation of automatic fault location, Regina recorders are used, which are installed at the hub substations. Synchronization of measurement parameters of the mode is performed by the GPS signal.
