The main features of the controllable electric power transmission under consideration are the use of a new type of overhead power transmission lines, which are controlled by devices of regulation reactive power. The concept of FACTS is that the power line ceases to be a passive device for transporting electricity and turns into an active a system involved in controlling the operating modes of the electrical bulk network.
