This variability brings with it challenges when one attempts to integrate large-scale wind power scheme into grids, since to maintain satisfactory grid operation, energy supply and demand must remain in balance at all time. In this paper, we calculate the pressure characteristic of circuit breaker using gas mixture containing fluorocarbon gas as arc quenching gas based-on the first law of thermodynamics and the law of hydrokinetics. The pressure characteristic curves of the gas chamber and the gas mass flow pass the nozzle are obtained through computation. In addition, the influences of mixtures ratio and nozzle throat diameter to the pressure and gas mass flow rate are achieved. It shows that the bigger ratio of fluorocarbon is corresponding to the bigger chamber pressure and relative bigger mass flow as to the same structural factor with no energy input; while considering the arc energy bigger ratio corresponding to smaller chamber pressure. And the nozzle throat diameter has a large impact on the pressure and gas mass flow rate. Besides, we also compared the gas pressure and gas mass flow rate of mixture gas with that of SF6 gas. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is introduced into multiparameter diagnosis of cable insulation. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is established, and the grade of membership of insulation state is judged from multiple indicators. Consulting previous division standard of insulation state, the threshold of membership function is determined by relative variation of insulation parameters. When inverter interfaced distributed generations are connected to the distribution system, it may bring some new problems on load flow and fault characteristic and protection. The analysis on steady characters of PQ control mode and VF control mode inverter interfaced distributed generation is done when the system is three phase symmetrical. Generally speaking there are limits on power and current in control system for the security of distributed generations and power electronic devices in inverter, so the analysis is more complex. The mathematical analysis on three phase symmetrical system is done and restriction equations are described whether three phase symmetrical fault occurs or not. For the solution of the equation groups expresses the steady state of the system, so the solution of the equation groups is one and only. Then the restriction equation groups are solved. The solution in different areas shows the reason of steady non-linear character of inverter interfaced distributed generations and the simulation shows the conclusion correct. The steady characteristic curves of PQ control mode and VF control mode inverter interfaced distributed generation about voltage and current and power are got from the function of voltage and current and power at the same time. PQ control mode and VF control mode inverter interfaced distributed generation behave similarly but not identically when three phase symmetrical fault occurs in three phase symmetrical system. Electric transportation has many attractive features in today's energy environment including decreasing greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector, reducing dependence on imported petroleum, and potentially providing consumers a lower cost alternative to gasoline. Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) represents the most promising approach to electrification of a significant portion of the transportation sector. The batteries of the plug-in hybrid electric vehicles are to be charged at home from a standard outlet, on a park lot or park deck, play as extra electrical loads, while the batteries on PHEVs can provide power to the grid when parked, known as vehicle-to-grid (V2G) concept. Firstly, according to the design conditions of the typical transmission line section, a three dimensional finite element analysis model of cup tower-stay frame tower-conductor-ground wire-insulator system was established in ANSYS. The initial tension force of the conductors was applied by the cooling method. Before the wind-induced vibration analysis, the form-finding analysis of conductors under self weight was carried out. Secondly, time history of the impulsive wind velocity was generated by spectral representation method. Time history of the impulsive wind velocity can be obtained by Fourier transformation in MATLAB program. The average wind pressure is applied to the tower line system by static method, and the impulsive wind pressure is applied by transient dynamic method. Thirdly, for the wind load case of design velocity, the wind-induced responses of the typical transmission line section were analyzed. Effect of the structural damping was considered by Rayleigh damping coefficients. Nonlinear transient analysis was employed for the wind-induced dynamic analysis of transmission line system. Under different wind velocities and directions, some wind-induced responses were obtained, which includes the tension forces of the conductors and the ground wires, axial forces of the towers, and the tension forces of the stray frame tower. Lastly, based on the analyzed results, the prewarning wind velocity for the typical transmission line section was determined. Most utilities focus more on historical assessment rather than predictive methods. Predictive methods are categorised into analytical and simulation methods. The difference between these methods is the way in which the system reliability indices are evaluated. In this paper, the authors apply both analytical and simulation methods to calculate the reliability indices such as System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) and System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) for two distribution systems. The Test systems are bus six of the Roy Billinton Test System and a real distribution network in Western Cape, South Africa. Results from these two approaches and some changes in operating philosophy are presented and compared in the paper. However, the high fault current and over voltage caused by its specific transient process will make system equipment working in bad condition and threat the running of system. The article takes Jindongnan - Nanyang - Jingmen UHV AC transmission demonstration project as example, uses electromagnetic transient simulation program PSCAD/EMTDC, analyses the switching over voltage of the system with series compensation equipment. The result shows that over-voltage multiplier is too large and the system can not run stably. The basic idea is: to simulate and find the possible path of the development of cascading failures, since the initial failure taken place till the judgments meet the termination constraints. Meanwhile, based on a priori statistical probability of the event, simulation was set up to determine the path. To IEEE 39-bus test system, the indices are adopted to perform risk assessment of cascading failure to find the vulnerable spot of power system. Therefore, new control schemes are necessary for wind turbines and power systems to support the frequency control. Currently, most of the published control methods can be classified into 3 levels, i.e., wind turbine level, wind farm level and power system level. The wind turbine level control enables wind turbines, particularly the variable speed wind generators, to provide dynamic response and power reserves for the primary frequency control by implementing the inertial, droop or deloading controller. The wind farm level control distributes the central control command from the system to the local wind turbines and energy storage units for the desired generation. The power system level control coordinates wind farms with conventional power plants for the secondary control to recover the frequency to the reference value faster than for the no coordination control case.
