In parallel, the first quantum computing devices have become available, paving the way for a new paradigm in information processing. Data representation is important for machine learning models. High-dimensional data can be converted to low dimensional codes efficiently by an artificial neural network. Due to quantum properties, a quantum algorithm can also perform this task, leaving only the neural network to perform the classification. In this paper, a quantum angle encoding algorithm is used to encode the vibration data into a binary representation, leaving the artificial neural networks for the classification. The vibration data in converted by applying a rotation on each of the Bloch sphere axes (X, Y and Z). After the rotation is performed, a measurement is made, collapsing the state into a single binary representation (0 or 1). Using the original and the converted data, multiple artificial neural networks topologies were trained to classify the data.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127668542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Safety and riding quality have become important elements as train speeds have increased. Due to the increased speed, damage to train structures and more frequent accidents occur. Therefore, railway components must be constantly monitored in all processes of production and use. The combination of the production of rail transport components, quality tools, and statistical methods is essential for production with the highest possible efficiency. The paper aims to reveal the causes of the defect rate and to map out the first pass yield in the production of bogie frames, which are used to produce wagons of various types. This is why a lot of companies has started to migrate the software used internally from desktop applications to web applications and this change come with the problem of service availability. If the failure of a desktop application on one station means that only one user does not have access to the service, the failure of the web server blocks all users. To ensure the service availability one method consists in using a backup server that mirrors the main server and that can take over its role in case of a failure. For this to work all data stored in databases and files must be mirrored completely between the two servers. If the mirroring of data stored in databases can be done with services provided by the DBMS, the mirroring of files requires some external processes. This paper presents a component that is optimized for the file mirroring between two servers of many relatively small text files.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122958088","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article represents five canonical forms, including Frobeni's canonical form (serial programming) and Jordan's canonical form (parallel programming). The individual canonical shapes are compared for the same controlled system and the same setting of the adjustable parameters of the predictive controller. The ITAE (integral time absolute error) integration criterion will be used for comparison. The paper aims to determine which canonical form is most suitable for the selected system and which of them achieves the highest quality of the control process.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"178 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131754652","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model was developed using BSM Sewer software package. An influent was also determined considering the 5 collecting areas and defined on a time- horizon of 28 days. The influent has the following components: a domestic one calculated using the average wastewater production of each inhabitant with specific loads and considering daily, weekly and yearly variations, a pluviometric one proportional to the collecting area surface that includes a rain event and a storm one and an industrial influent (considered only for the 5th collecting area). The model was tested in different operating conditions of the sewer network considering three operating points given by the values of the valve opening and pumps flows at the tank outlets. The results were analyzed based on 10 performance indicators implemented by researchers from Lund University for BSM Sewer. They showed the need for an optimization of the operating regime of the sewer network in terms of volume and quality of discharged water.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131381190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, an in-depth knowledge of the industrial process and a preventive data analysis work, capable of informing on the behavior of the process itself, have been conducted. Thanks to the obtained results, it will then be possible to create models and control systems capable of ensuring energy saving while guaranteeing high product quality and limiting pollution emissions. The first problem addressed in the present work deals with an in-depth analysis of the values recorded by the temperature sensors (thermal imaging camera and pyrometers) and the absorption values recorded in the rolling mills. The position of the thermal imaging camera, initially located at the furnace exit, was verified to be not optimal due to the presence of scale that altered the temperature measurements. The thermal imaging camera was subsequently repositioned downstream of the descaling device and a new analysis was carried out on the new data available. In the second part of the work a mathematical model of the temperature decay of the billets have been developed which models the billets’ temperature behavior from the exit of the furnace through the descaling device and up to the last rolling mill stand. The initial analysis phase was functional in order to have at disposal a subset of data for the modelling validation. Satisfactory results were obtained in both the addressed problems.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121198856","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Their high efficiency and power/torque density are making the difference. Due to these characteristics PMSMs are very popular in automotive applications as well, whether for traction purposes or auxiliary equipment. Along with their spread, there is a permanent need to improve their performance. But this can only be achieved through painstaking and expensive efforts within actual fabrication techniques and applied materials. Therefore, further development of the field requires a paradigm shift. Additive manufacturing could be the key to future developments, enabling design engineers to dream up innovative and even complex machine topologies through the use of novel advanced materials. This paper is a survey of existing trends to further improve PMSMs by applying new structures, fabrication techniques, and thermal management systems. The most important advantages all these bring are also highlighted.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"129 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123434263","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the essence, the hardware incorporates a valve being a solenoid with a flow channel. Supplying the current to the solenoid’s coil induces the magnetic field in the channel. As a results, the fluid transitions from a near-Newtonian one to a pseudo-solid. In the paper we show that significant improvements in the MR actuator dynamics can be achieved by exploring flux feedback control systems rather than current feedback ones. The flux-based approach would improve the system’s response time and its bandwidth as well as minimize the contribution of the eddy currents. Thus, numerical simulations have been carried out to test the original hypothesis. The obtained data (from co-simulations) prove that the proposed approach delivers good results although further research is required on further optimizing the controller’s gains and prior to building a real prototype.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"216 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128845288","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
