The main objective of this paper is to identify the best mobile Internet provider which will be used further to implement a Remote Monitoring System (RMS) for an Electric Vehicle (EV). Statistical data reports of Romanian National Authority for Administration and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) are analyzed and compared to extract information relevant to the knowledge level of final users in Romania about the use of IoT. Indicators such as the degree of use of IoT devices, the attitude towards IoT, the consumer behavior, and their expectations from IoT and 5G technology were used. The analysis of communication services offered by the four main Romanian mobile Internet Service Providers (ISP) is conducted based on statistical data measured by the ANCOM Netograf platform during the period 2010-2020. The disadvantage of the Netograf platform is that it shows data only for a single provider at a time. Our performance comparison is made for all providers in terms of download speed, upload speed, transfer delay, delay variation, and loss rate. Also, the data are compared based on the subscription type (postpaid/prepaid). Finally, the best provider is identified, which will be used further for the above mentioned objective.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115255532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The effects of the time-varying delay on the controller design procedure are investigated. The proposed approach can not only be applicable for the systems that the controller intentionally created a time delay but also for the systems in which time delay inherently exists in the control input. Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model has been used for representing the nonlinear fractional order system. By adopting both state-feedback and delayed state- feedback approaches, new stabilization conditions are derived, which are indeed expressed in the framework of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). The stability proof is basically done based on a delay-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii Functional (LKF) and the usage of the slack matrices. Finally, the efficiency of the designed controller is validated by considering a gyroscope system as the running example.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"139 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116291015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In our paper, we investigate and present from this perspective, several architectures that are currently available on the commercial market. The analysis covers some of the well-known commercial cloud platforms available: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud. We have analyzed and identified several advantages associated with the use of these commercially available platforms with the objective of pondering the potential use of the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) approach within an innovative Digital Enterprise making use of the traditional services of a trust service provider (including here digital signatures, digital notary, time stamping, etc.) The analysis of the above-mentioned commercial platforms is not only addressing their own intrinsic SaaS architectures but also the derived or personalized architectures that are provided for their tenants and clients.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134358568","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It begins with a deep feeling, i.e. proprioception, resulting from the operation of the nervous system, which registers even slight movements of the body from an upright standing position and reacts to these deviations by activating appropriate strategies to regain balance. It is realized by sequential activation of antagonistic muscles, which, acting alternately, are responsible for correcting the posture. In such a case, when one of the muscles is responsible for initiating the movement, the other, acting in the opposite way, tries to slow down the movement. With appropriate simplifications, such a system can be presented as a mechanical system in the form of an inverted pendulum with an appropriate number of degrees of freedom. The antagonistic work of muscles in mathematical models of such systems is taken into account by using elastic and damping elements. It should be remembered, however, that with the appearance of disease processes or processes related to the aging of the human body, the values of the parameters describing these elements may change. The article presents how the change of elasticity and damping parameters generated by the muscles influences the simulation of maintaining the balance.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"183 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115071356","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The papers concept is centered around a Deep Q-Network (DQN), which is a convolutional neural network that has been received training using Q-Learning. The authors propose the integration of an algorithm that will allow a virtual character to learn how to fulfill a specific task in a manner similar to a human, by trial and error. Such an approach can be useful in situations where it is desired to have an interaction as close as natural between a human and a virtual entity. The paper represents just a small step on a path that leads to obtaining a self-learning virtual character that can interact with a real person. The outcome of this research will present a notion that can serve as the foundation for the automation and optimization of a time-consuming activity carried out by an entity that does not have a preset or predetermined intellectual capability. It is the authors' intention to demonstrate a learning process that is analogous to a psychological test defined as a \"match to sample task,\" where the character is required to recall precisely what set of tasks he or she was awarded for; the more he repeats those tasks as many times as possible, the more he will begin to create a \"habit\" of looking for the same events in which he is rewarded. This paper demonstrates a concept that can be the basis for automation and optimization of a laborious process performed by an entity without a predefined or preprogrammed intellectual capacity.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"1076 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116027072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This domanin continuously shows the need for these images to be analyzed and processed. The fields in which images are used and their processing are increasingly broad, from different branches of engineering to medicine, and so on. The emergence of various algorithms for processing information obtained by encoding images is a vast field and is constantly evolving. This paper extends a previous study on the application of image processing methods using algorithms involving the use of frequencies. We will discuss issues related to the treatment and improvement of the quality of the images. The algorithm proposes decomposing an image into the representation in the frequency domain so that later refinement of the image rendering process can be applied. Among the uses of such an algorithm, we can mention the search for an image in an image database and obtaining a certain fidelity of the result or the reconstruction of a specific image based on a sketch.","PeriodicalId":167963,"journal":{"name":"2022 23rd International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129603344","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One possible method of so-called in-situ assessment of solar cells without disassembly and intervention is fault identification with thermal imaging. The principle is because the contact, transient or permanent resistance of the solar cell in failure points and zones caused by surface damage, shadow effects or burnout is higher than that of intact cells, dots, or surfaces. The current flowing through the higher resistances causes more Joule heat. This overheat makes possible to see different failure sources.
