The dynamic output of power system has been analyzed for step load disturbance. Proportional integral (PI) and proportional integral derivative (PID) controllers are used to control the various parameters of multi area power system. Due to high peak overshoot and settling time, conventional PI and PID controllers are not preferred for large power system. The main motivation of this paper is to control the output frequency response with minimum peak overshoot and settling time. The output frequency response with fuzzy logic based controller indicates that fuzzy tuned proportional integral derivative (FTPID) controller is very much better than Ziegler-Nichols tuned PI and PID controllers.","PeriodicalId":167368,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Micro-Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ICMETE)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125645572","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With this global network access comes the increased possibility of malicious attacks and unauthorized access to identity, information, and other resources. In order to curb the latest threats resulted from the internet revolution in the past few years many quick and reliable ways of automatic recognition of individual's identity identification are being sought. In this paper, we introduced the non-static biometric scheme (behavioural biometric), which aims to authenticate the users on the basis of user's typing patterns. The proposed scheme is practically implemented in MATLAB software and recognizes the identity of users for authentication.","PeriodicalId":167368,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Micro-Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ICMETE)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131853919","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The major drawback in case of MIMO-OFDM is its high value of Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) which causes to frequency spread spectrum along with the in-band distortion. This is due to the presence of nonlinearity in the high power amplifiers. In this paper, a hybrid technique of PTS and CP is proposed for PAPR reduction. Using the QAM modulated MIMO-OFDM systems and 2×2 number of antennas, it has been observed that the proposed technique has better performance for PAPR reduction.","PeriodicalId":167368,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Micro-Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ICMETE)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127902436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A reconfigurable FSS is simulated using square metallic loop which shows an attenuation of -30dB. The varactor diodes in this design can impair mobile phone signal at lower attenuation level. For controlling the power levels in the secure buildings and depending upon the level of attenuation, non-specular diffraction is accessed in order to determine its impact on system performance. Non-specular scattering technique will become important for Non Line Of Site transmission where diffraction can be significant. On the basis of current researches, a double layer frequency selective surface is designed and simulated to increase the angular stability of the system.","PeriodicalId":167368,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Micro-Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ICMETE)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128344330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis has been modeled over extended generalized K fading channel taking the interference temperature as a constraint so that the transmit power of the secondary source and relay do not exceed this limit. This results in constraints on the transmit powers of the secondary network also and hence ensures no interference with the primary communication which is imperative in cognitive underlay systems. The analytical expression for the outage probability is derived employing the probability density functions and the cumulative distribution functions of the channel gains for the various links in the system. The expression for the outage probability is calculated in terms of Fox's H functions. Our results demonstrate the dependence of outage probability performance on various parameters of the system under the power constraints already defined. The analytical results are verified with the help of MATLAB simulations.","PeriodicalId":167368,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Micro-Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ICMETE)","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125499454","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sensors perform the monitoring task substituting human presence at the site. Sensor nodes are freely deployed in the real time environment. Sensor nodes work on in-built batteries because it's not possible to provide power in the real time scenarios. Sensor nodes are freely deployed in the network without any supervision. Probability for the occurrence of fault in the network exists. Various techniques and algorithms are introduced to tackle the fault and reduce the energy consumption like Leach, EFDCB, etc. In this paper, we proposed an algorithm to improve life time of WSN by Improved distributed fault tolerant clustering algorithm for fault tolerance (IDFCA). Distributed fault tolerant clustering algorithm (DFCA) for fault tolerance has a drawback as the load on neighbouring CH increase and energy consumption is more. Improved distributed fault tolerant algorithm, IDFCA technique works to reduce the energy consumption by introducing hierarchy formation process of selecting CH and it also overcome the situation of faulty node. The performance of this new algorithm is evaluated by simulating it in NS2 environment and compared with DFCA. Simulation results show that it performs better than DFCA and thus can prolong the lifetime of the network.","PeriodicalId":167368,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Micro-Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ICMETE)","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133656614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this non-invasive technique to draw results from the behavior of light absorption pattern shown by blood, we decided on using a simple red LED and an infrared LED, with wavelength of 660nm and 940nm respectively. We used a receiver module on the other side to collect the refracted light. As predicted, the graph of the refracted light intensity mimicked the heart rate pattern of an individual.
