Thus transfer learning holds paramount importance as pre-trained weights can be used for further training and avoid expensive computation. Therefore, this can save a lot of expensive computing power. This paper presents design, analysis and experimental results of solar charge controller for electric golf cart. The developed charge controller operates on maximum power point tracking algorithm. The system comprising of charger and PV panel is self-sufficient to charge the battery of the vehicle and besides this, the surplus power generated can also be utilized for feeding the DC load like DC bulbs, DC fans etc. The system is based on an intelligent embedded algorithm which aims at utilizing maximum power from solar generation. Such a huge number of interventions into a dynamic complex system necessitate a means to evaluate the dynamics of the consequences intended by each of the initiatives. As a precursor to exploring scenarios of the intended dynamics, we identify the systems structure resulting from the intended consequence of each initiative. Providing an effective insight into the smart city policy, we classify the initiatives with systems structures that seek to improve the achievement of goals and those that attempt to control the problems within the city. Cloud service providers are required to provide services to its users productively and efficiently. Resources must be selected and allocated properly based on the task’s attributes. The objective of a load balancing algorithm is to ensure efficient and fair distribution of load among all the computing resources. The challenge today, however, is to maintain performance standards in spite of the rapidly increasing data and performance needs of the users. This motivates an automated approach towards load balancing. In this work, we proposed a load balancing algorithm based on the usage statistics which predicts the queue of virtual machines for the optimal usage of cloud resources. Diabetes is one of the most critical chronic healthcare problems that affect other organs of the human body. Hospital readmission, for patients with diabetes, is a common scenario where a discharged patient is admitted again within a specific time interval. Efficient techniques are needed which can predict the chance of such a readmission, thereby, allowing the possibility of targeted interventions. The aim of this paper is to discuss the performance of different prediction algorithms and associated collaborative paradigms for publically available diabetes data. Apache Spark is used, in the prototype, to decrease the training time. The prototype also addresses underlying challenges such as fault tolerance, scalability, and heterogeneity. We have implemented the functionality using IBM Watson and other libraries and performed an experiment at an old age home. Our humanoid robot can detect the user’s mood and engage in a friendly conversation. Steganography has been used to hide secret messages in various types of files, including digital images, audio and video. In Image Steganography, secret communication is achieved through embedding a Message Image into a Cover Image. But some general Steganography techniques like LSB, Pixel value Differencing are prone to Information theft. In this paper, the LSB based Image Steganography is combined with two newly proposed Cryptography techniques. The two Cryptography techniques proposed are: Vigenère-AES Cipher and Modified Interrupt Key. Vigenère-AES Cipher Steganography performs a Vigenère Cipher on the Message Image followed by AES Cipher. This Cryptographed Image is then embedded inside the Cover Image using an LSB Lossless Steganographic technique. The Modified Interrupt Key Steganography performs an Interrupt Key based Cryptography on the Message Image. The Cryptographed image is then embedded inside the Cover Image using an LSB Lossless Steganographic technique. The results of these techniques are more secured form of Information hiding as they use Stego-Keys. On the contrary, we see that the forest cover in the world is under increasing pressure because of economic development. In this research paper, the authors have used computer analytics to get a clear picture of the relationship between the economic growth (indicated by the GDP) and the primary forest cover in three different countries in South America – Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia. The authors have analysed to what extent the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) affects the primary forest cover and further predict the values of the primary forest up to 2030 and 2050 in the three countries of study. Several solutions such as data preprocessing using re-sampling, cost based learning, ensemble learning techniques have been proposed in the past to deal with imbalanced dataset problem. In this paper, we propose a new clustering based oversampling and undersampling (CBOUS) data preprocessing technique to deal with imbalanced dataset problem in the classification task. In order to analyze and compare performance of the proposed data preprocessing technique with the existing techniques, we have used three different classifiers namely C4.5, k Nearest Neighbor, Logistic Regression, and 37 different datasets. Area under receiver operating characteristic curve is used as a measure to assess performance of the classifiers. The current transportation infrastructure is inadequate and severely impacts business growth. Some of the issues with traditional transportation system can be overcome by interconnecting the same using a high-speed information system, also known as the internet-of vehicles (IoV). The augmented ITS can support in addressing some of the major challenges faced by traditional transportation such as dynamic requirement change, unreliable delivery time, higher labor cost, human error and energy efficiency. This paper discusses the advantages of augmenting industrial transportation system with IoV. It also analyzes various obstacles that need to be overcome for the successful implementation of internet-of vehicles. Hence, a novel architecture for augmenting industrial transportation system with IoVhas also been proposed to handle dynamic requirements change economically. Scenarios like shipping and handling charges imposed on the customer in case of requirement change while the order is being processed in the existing industrial transportation system has been considered. Further, a comparative study isperformed between existing and proposed augmented industrial transportation system focused on dynamic requirements change is included as a case study.
