It can realize low-delay low-resolution real time streaming as well as high lossless coding efficiency. Intra-frame video coding is performed as the base layer coder for down-sampled input video and a SW coder is used as the enhancement layer coder for lossless archiving. In order to improve SW lossless coding efficiency, we introduce inter-layer prediction between the base layer and the enhancement layer. It uses inter-layer prediction to increase the accuracy of Motion Estimation (ME). Simulations show that the proposed scheme gives higher coding performance better than the JPEG2000 lossless mode.","PeriodicalId":166414,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129291835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed ADC is designed in 4-stage pipeline structure, and each pipeline stage is a non-binary cyclic ADC based on ß-expansion, which tolerates the non-idealities of capacitor mismatch and finite amplifier gain. We also provide the CLS technique for cyclic ADC stage to obtain high SNR with small capacitors in low supply voltage. Furthermore, this ADC includes an on-chip non-binary to binary conversion logic block. The radix-value self-estimation and non-binary to binary encode functions are realized by simple digital circuits. A proof-of-concept ADC is designed and fabricated in 90nm CMOS technology. Measured ENOB = 10.45bit is achieved while a 208kHz sinusoid input is sampled at 3.3MS/s. The dynamic input range of ADC is extended to 1.8V while the supply voltage of 1.2V.","PeriodicalId":166414,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125449001","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the propagating signal from the mobile station to the base station usually encounters a variety of obstacles, resulting in the signal reflection and refraction, and therefore the non-line-of-sight (NLOS) path instead of the line-of-sight path (LOS). Generally, the NLOS error in the range measurement significantly affects the positioning accuracy. Thus, this paper investigates a novel localization algorithm based on the convex optimizations, where we exploit a constraint satisfaction optimization instead of the conventional objective optimizations. Moreover, we also discuss the validity issue of the constraints, and propose a controllable measurement error enlarging method to fully use the ranging information. The simulations have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":166414,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"166 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126738695","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, when being adopted in real world, single modality is found to have numerous limitations such as insecure and unreliable. To overcome these weaknesses and enhance the convenience when person identification is in urgent needs in outside world, we designed a novel method to identify an already registered user or grant authorization using multimodal biometrics with face and voice traits on android devices. Both face feature vector and voice feature vector are extracted independently using haar-wavelet transform and then are fused at feature level. At last, we use support vector machine (SVM) to perform the binary classification. The experiments results indicate that our system can obtain a satisfactory performance giving identification accuracy of 93.6% and can be used in financial field, where information security is foremost. Further comparison on experiments results also show that our proposed system is more reliable than other similar multimodal identification system.","PeriodicalId":166414,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126669849","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve the EE optimization problem, a lower bound of the involved spectra efficiency (SE) is derived with analytical expression. Since the original fractional optimization problem is non-convex we transform the objective function into an equivalent parametric subtractive form by using the properties of fractional programming. Then, an iterative algorithm is developed relying on the partial convexity of the subtractive cost function where the analytical solutions are deduced. Finally, the effectiveness and convergence behavior of our proposed schemi are verified through the numerical results.","PeriodicalId":166414,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127553369","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
