The abnormality of any component may cause the whole rotorcraft out of control even crash. To detect even control the potential failure of UAV, it makes great sense to trace the real-time status of UAV. This paper addresses the issue of the online monitoring and alarm system for multi-rotor UAV. The framework of the system, design of the acquisition board and method for data collection are specifically discussed. Also, the system prototype for airborne is developed based on DSP+FPGA platform. Experimental results show that the system can effectively realize the online status monitoring of multi-rotor UAV.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123879474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this preliminary work, we assess the performance of two of these algorithms - Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) - for the prognostic analysis of an electro-mechanical flight control actuator, powered by a Brushless DC (BLDC) trapezoidal motor. We focus on the first step of the prognostic process, consisting in an early Fault Detection and Identification (FDI); our model-based strategy consists in using an optimization algorithm to approximate the output of the physical system with a computationally light Monitor Model.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"103 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116483994","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to ensure the success of next mission, the components require maintenance in maintenance breaks. In this case, there may not be enough time and cost to repair every component. Therefore, selective maintenance is required between two consecutive missions. In a multi-state system, each component also has multiple working states, which makes many maintenance options during maintenance break possible. But different maintenance workers will affect the states of components after maintenance. The purpose of this paper is to calculate the human error rate for maintenance of multi-state systems and give the reliability of performing next mission. For the selective maintenance of multi-state systems considering human reliability, with constraints of maintenance time and cost, an optimization model with the goal of maximum system reliability is presented, and the optimal selective maintenance strategy is given by genetic algorithm (GA). Finally, an example is presented to illustrate the effect of human reliability on the final maintenance strategy.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"52 206 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125952229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially, the regularity of equipment renewal time of coast radio station is not strong, and the possibility of equipment failure is quite different, which brings great challenge to the evaluation of overall operational reliability of coast radio station. This study attempts to identify the factors that can be quantified to establish a communication reliability evaluation model for coast radio station from the perspective of experience of its operation. Sixty-two factors were selected mainly considering the working experience of experts, managers and workers. These were categorized into four types factors: service quality, equipment state, human resources and external evaluation. the analytical hierarchical process (AHP) methodology was used for estimating and ranking the factors. The results show that the two most important categories are equipment state and business quality.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117132089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

AVs involve not only passengers, but also authorities, manufacturers, public transportation companies, law enforcement officials, drivers, pedestrians and shopkeepers. Applying phenomenology - the description of a phenomenon's live experience [1] - to this case of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) contributes to understanding its complexity and provides insights of users' perception of risk related to the AVs. This new technology brings many opportunities to improve our mobility system. Identified potential risks can affect the efficiency and the perception of the service. In this exploratory research, we have employed a technique called experimental phenomenology to identify these risks. The major advantage of this approach is to take into account the perception of passengers as a driver for design.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"271 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114868403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

PSO technique is designed to control the position and velocity of updating particles till reaches the optimum set. Modified synchronous reference frame theory is implemented to excerpt the reference current waveform. Intensive simulations are conducted based on Matlab/Simulation Tool. Design of shunt active power filter is agree with the proposed results. Optimal control circuit is quite superior as it is more effective even with the presence of non-linear loads and has a reasonably better dynamic response.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129619107","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For instance, a blast furnace should be operated continuously subject to harsh conditions of high temperature, sulfuration, and nitration, resulting in biased random walks among the degrading performance variables. This phenomenon can be well interpreted as the memory effects, which implies the future states may rely on each of the past ones. The other tough issue is that the degradation processes would be contaminated with measurement noises from unidentified sources. Large level of measurement uncertainty seems adverse to the accurate extraction of non-Markovian diffusions, and hence impacts the prognostics of the system. To overcome these difficulties, we mainly present a remaining useful life (RUL) prediction method on the framework of a state space model incorporating both the fractional Brownian motion (FBM) and the Gaussian noise. Attributing to the fractal property of longterm dependency, FBM naturally adapts to the non-Markovian degradation modeling. Considering the nonlinearity, a variant form of sigmoid function is also adopted as the fixed drift item. The hidden states and the unknown parameters are estimated synchronously using a composite identification algorithm, while the RUL distributions are derived by a Monte Carlo method. A simulation example further verifies the validity of the proposed prognostics scheme.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133790904","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition to the harsh conditions, the devices must be able to work at high speeds to meet the performance demands. This means the hardware must work in very high temperatures and harsh environmental conditions quickly and reliably. This causes increasing challenges in Reliability verification of hardware designs to ensure the machine is both robust and reliable. There are various reliability aspects such as latch-up, electrostatic discharge (ESD), hot carrier effects and electromigration that are observed in IC design. Several factors impact the reliability verification of design such as process technology used, library design, routing, frequency, voltage and the usage conditions. In order to model all of this correctly, Sign off RV is run in final stages of design when all the layout and design collaterals have stabilized and this effort spent on fixing RV has an impact on Time to Market. In this paper we mainly show how some of the electromigration challenges can be addressed in design early on through correct by construction approach.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"15 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114039688","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
