Despite such efforts, the child streetism has become the daily reality and has shown the sign of increasing. This article explores the influence of income poverty on child streetism in urban Tanzania. Specifically, the article focused on analysing the live experiences of street children; and describing the influence of income poverty on streetism of children. The article adopted the descriptive cross-sectional design and involved a total of 56 informants who were purposively selected while the snowballing sampling technique was used in accessing street children. Semi-structured interview, documentary review and observation method were used to collect data. Through thematic and content data analysis techniques this article revealed that street children experienced difficulties in getting their basic needs and did not easily access health services when they fell sick. Further, child streetism has been largely influenced by income poverty. Hence, the study recommends that; develop a formal and functional support system to facilitate children on the street to access the educational services. Regarding coping strategies as an emerged issue, street children engaged into begging, unsafe sex and petty income-generating activities such as car wash and bottle collection. They also used self-medication to treat themselves when they fell sick or being left at the hospital buildings or on the street by their fellow street children when the condition got worse. Additionally, they did not have any coping strategy to enroll themselves into the school.","PeriodicalId":164854,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian and African Social Science and Humanities","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128431060","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, this migration left an adverse effect on the tertiary education. However, despite the international and national efforts reform the system, the situation seems to still be facing multiple challenges. Besides, the weakness in the Liberian education system has led the former President Sirleaf herself to describe it as a mess. Moreover, poor implementation of educational policies, ill-financial supports for institutions of higher learning and poor educational infrastructures, etc., are some of major practices that constitute challenges to higher education in the country. Nonetheless, there have been some attempts and endeavors to reform and refine the system. These efforts had been done by the government itself and its local and international partners, such as USAID, the World Bank, the (IMF), the AFDB, A.S Charitable Society with its Heritage School Union System (a local Islamic leading educational and humanitarian NGO) Catholic Schools System, Methodist Schools, and others. The research is qualitatively conducted and observatory in nature. Hence, this article aims at looking into challenges that Liberia’s tertiary education is confronted with, and how could they be mitigated and properly addressed. The study conclude that a radical reform and implementation of the policies are the’ ways to meet the market-driven education system in Liberia.","PeriodicalId":164854,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian and African Social Science and Humanities","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129691473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the classical interpretations of Islamic law, any son of the deceased in general excludes such grandchildren. However, many states brought certain changes into the existing format of Islamic law of succession so as to shield such grandchildren from total exclusion. Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, Morocco, Pakistan and Bangladesh are remarkable for binging changes in this particular area. Pakistan brought a significant change in 1961 by section 4 of the Muslim Family Laws Ordinance (MFLO), which is a milestone event in the history of reformation of Islamic law. In Bangladesh the same law become accepted through the promulgation of the Laws Continuance Enforcement order, 1971’.Section of the MFLO affected the whole structure of Islamic Law of Succession. The main contribution of this work is an attempt to draw the attention of the proper authority for taking steps to ensure the right of orphaned grandchildren and other heirs not violating the Islamic law of succession. For this purpose the author tries to show the injustices to some heirs and the provisions of Islamic law of succession which have been violated caused by the section 4 of MFLO and lastly the author has set up a method that ensures the right of the orphaned grandchildren neither violating the Islamic rule nor excluding any heir. Using in-depth interviews with Islamic microfinance practitioners who are expert in the area, this study explores two categories of financing which are equity financing (mudharabah and musyarakah) and debt financing (murabahah). The mechanism will advise on the themes of equity financing, debt financing, risk identification and mitigation, risk appraisal, risk control and monitoring, and digital systems. Interviews were conducted at 6 BPRS in West Java and Banten, Indonesia. The data will inform researchers about success stories of equity and debt financing by implementing risk mitigation to reduce the magnitude of the risk of each financing and alternative steps to mitigate non-performing financing. The results show that BPRS prefer musyarakah financing for equity over mudharabah, because they consider mudharabah to be riskier. For debt financing, all BPRS apply murabahah financing. Risk mitigation is carried out properly, starting from analyzing the client's credit history to assessing the required collateral. In the event of non-performing financing, the BPRS first assesses the source of the problem and the BPRS provides easy payments to clients through relaxation and restructuring. The digital system also plays an important role in mitigating BPRS risk and facilitating client access to BPRS.","PeriodicalId":164854,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian and African Social Science and Humanities","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114316500","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
