This study was conducted using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data was gathered from the primary and secondary sources. Tourism survey report of India 2018 for Mizoram was used to collect data on tourists’ inflow, purpose and duration of stay and level of accommodation from 2016 to 2018. A case study of village Sialsuk was conducted through household level survey using purposive random sampling method. The author surveyed 240 households (48%) of the village. The major questions were asked of on the main options of livelihoods and carrying capacity of village tourism. The result shows that Mizoram has the tremendous potential, as it has the number of villages, which has feasible climate, spectacular landscape, wilderness and abundance local food products and beverages. These abundance bases support for the sustainable village tourism. Meanwhile, tourists’ inflow is less in Mizoram. Further, accommodation, transportation and institutional facilities are insufficient. There are number of drivers, affecting development of village tourism in Mizoram and among them, the inner line permit and remoteness/inaccessibility of the villages are the main drivers. It is suggested that the inner line permit system should be abolished. Roads should be constructed, publicity of the tourists’ destination should be ensured and the tourism department should be strengthened so that the village tourism in Mizoram can be developed","PeriodicalId":164778,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Multidisciplinary Academic Tourism","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130661883","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is a double-sided exchange. Thus, the settlements overlapping with the cultural routes need to be approached and planned with a special touch and awareness -related with the local data. Therefore, a multidisciplinary approach is needed. Paper will examine specific points related to this unfolding process such as: Essence of the walking; experiencing the nature; respecting culture and history. Three routes will be examined and interrelated for the “good practice” and learn from the others in order to reach sustainable and multidisciplinary planning insights.","PeriodicalId":164778,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Multidisciplinary Academic Tourism","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125172335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study was to develop a new ski-instruction approach in the children’s market. A selection of 777 children over two consecutive winter seasons were taught in the first season with a standard instruction approach and then an improved instruction approach based on neuroscientific findings in the following season. The results of the study were that the improved approach significantly developed not only the speed of learning, but also the overall achieved skiing and satisfaction level. Traditional parameters (group size, ski length, etc.) are not as important as previously considered. By setting the focus for a succeeding ski lesson more on social skills (capacity for teamwork, cooperation, motivation, empathy, and interaction) children satisfaction can be improved.","PeriodicalId":164778,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Multidisciplinary Academic Tourism","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128300053","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By assimilating various roles over the last century, Brazilian governments could establish goals and provide different expectations about PPoT. This study aims to analyze the institutionalization process of Brazilian PPoT, from their born, in the very beginning of the last century (1930), to the first decade in the actual century (2010). To reach this objective, the Brazilian public agenda of tourism was reconstituted, in a retroductive way. The specialized literature –about public policies, in general, and PPoT, in particular– was mad in order to produce an analytical framework to support the empirical analysis. The historical, longitudinal, ex post facto, research was empirically landed by the data collection of normative acts did by the Brazilian Federal Government. These acts were considered as public policies and they were collected through the historical archive of the House of Representatives. They were analyzed, in a quantitative and qualitative manner, by the content analysis technique. The results allow us to recognize five major periods guiding the PPoT in Brazil agenda, each one having it proper organizing principle, modus operandi as well its expected effects. As conclusion, we can sustain the existence of recurrent institutional inconsistency; increased investments and changing expectations over the PPoT along of the last century. There was also recent change in the profile of these policies, seeking to conform them to the international standard.","PeriodicalId":164778,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Multidisciplinary Academic Tourism","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128264258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data has been downloaded from World Bank Development Indicators with their natural logarithmic forms. At the empirical part of the study GDP per capita annual data (%) represents economic growth and international tourism receipts (of % total export) have been chosen as an indicator of tourism sector. The model has been tested with dynamic panel data analysis. Firstly preliminary tests have been applied to be sure about the the homogeneity of series (Delta test) and the cross-section depence (CDlm test) of each individuals. After that second generation unit root test (Hadri Kurozomi-2012) used to find out the level of stationary. Durbin-H co-integration test showed that there is co-integration between variables and finally Hurlin-Dumetriscu causality test (2012) does not support tourism-led growth hypothesis. So there is one-way causality from economic growth to tourism for selected countries.","PeriodicalId":164778,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Multidisciplinary Academic Tourism","volume":"174 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132491159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chefs have long been the dominant factors in restaurants. In recent years, it has been observed that the sommeliers have become the partners of chefs in this important role. This study includes executive chefs, head chefs, sommeliers, and head sommeliers working at 11 different Michelin restaurants in Denmark with 1 and 2 stars. The findings confirm the recent contribution of sommeliers, which is mentioned in the related literature. In addition, the findings of this study indicate that the success of a chef in receiving a Michelin star and keeping it is mostly affected by the physical elements such as crew, materials, and presentation. Sommeliers, on the other hand, contribute to this success through abstract service elements such as the harmony of different elements on the table, food & wine harmony, menu tasting and increasing experience quality. It has also been determined that the impact of sommeliers on restaurant management will increase soon as they are the faces, in a sense ‘models’ of restaurants and they make unique contributions to customer satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":164778,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Multidisciplinary Academic Tourism","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124388068","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to reach the aim of the research, a theoretical analysis was carried out. As a result of the research, it was concluded that there is no consensus in the literature on the relationship between tourism and poverty. The present study aims to use bibliometric indicators to review the relevant literature related to tourism security in the period 2002-2021. The information and the main trends in this area are represented and mapped using the following software: EndNote, Excel, Bibexcel and VOSviewer. During the period analyzed, a total of 59 original articles were registered in the Sciencidirect and Scielo databases. The analysis indicates that the literature on tourism safety is growing gradually, however, it is considered insufficient; a total of 26 journals are included in the study where the journal Estudios y perspectivas en turismo is the leader in the field of research registering 24% of the total published research. As for the keyword analysis, the main lines of productivity are focused on the relationship between security and tourism, destination image, risk perception, public safety, customer satisfaction and Covid-19. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is a trigger for the growth of research related to the field of research under analysis. In conclusion, the limitation of this research is that only two databases were taken into account and that through the search strategy used, some works might not have been identified, in addition to the fact that the study can be expanded with the inclusion of other bibliometric indicators.","PeriodicalId":164778,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Multidisciplinary Academic Tourism","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130199414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
