The generation of random numbers is only possible from a sourceof entropy. A true random number generator (TRNG) uses a physical source of entropy to generate random numbers. The randomness of a TRNG can be scientifically characterized, and measured. A drawback of TRNGs is that they usually need an external hardware device containing the physical source of entropy. This necessity can be eliminated by attempting to use sources that are already part of the device's environment. This work attempts to identify such sources and analyze their entropy levels. The sensor nodes will collect vital information such as heat signatures for detecting human presence and location, the flow of flood. The sensor modules are packed in a portable floating buoy with a user interface to convey emergency messages to the base station. Sensor nodes are designed based on disaster conditions, cost-effectiveness and deployed in the affected region by a centrifugal dispersion system from a helicopter. A mobile ad-hoc network is set up by modifying the Low Energy Adaptive Cluster Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol for greater efficiency and adoption of multi-hop of Cluster Heads for long-distance communication to Base Station. The model metrics have been defined considering previous rural floods in India. The efficiency and power characteristics of the network are are compared to other protocols via simulations. Code coverage is one such important aspect where every line of code is exercised and verified for the intended scenarios. It is a measure used to describe the degree to which the source code of a program is executed. There are tools like ‘Gcov’ which instrument the source code to identify the code coverage for executed test cases and scenarios. As they are designed to support generic platforms, they affect system performance in terms of processing and memory overhead. These tools can only be applied before final production or avoided altogether due to system integration and engineering efforts. This paper presents an optimized and novel tool for code coverage, called ‘TraFic’ which stands for Trace, Function, and Logical coverage. It is proposed to be adopted by memory-constrained embedded devices to achieve code coverage and can be extended to production releases as well. The proposed novel techniques in ‘TraFic’ use system debug log traces and existing target platform compiler options to instrument code, thereby decreasing instrumentation mechanism complexity and reducing memory requirements and performance overhead, making it ideal for embedded systems. Also, by applying TraFic in production releases, the code coverage can be obtained from commercial products to capture real-world scenarios, aid system failure analysis and release firmware upgrades. Through our implementation of TraFic on Little Kernel for an ARM Cortex-R processor running an open-source TCP/IP Software, we show that the performance overhead can be as low as 4% and memory overhead is equally low around 4%; while providing a coverage target of around 88%. A special category of metasurfaces known as Huygens' metasurface - fundamentally based on equivalence principle, have demonstrated unprecedented capabilities for advanced wavefront engineering. In this paper, we provide current trends and progress in the area of Huygens' metasurfaces, particularly the coarsely discretized Huygens' metasurfaces, consisting of two to three meta-atoms per metasurface period. The basic design principle of coarsely discretized metasurface relies on the classical grating theory, where the undesired Floquet-Bloch (FB) modes are suppressed by engineering the individual meta-atom, and the desired ones are allowed to radiate in the far-field. Moreover, we briefly summarize the recent development in Huygens' box - a region of space surrounded by an active Huygens' metasurface, and its applications in antenna beam steering. In this article we adopted novel packaging methodology of providing additional cushion for low thermal dissipation along with mesh on the top to achieve better sensitivity. The effect of packaging on the heater performance is also analyzed and presented. An athlete is judged according to his/her performance in a tournament. The athletes can improve their existences (fitness) in the race only by practicing hard and the best athlete is chosen based on the performance in the tournament. The proposed optimization method is applied in three different practical design-based optimization problems and compared with PSO and TLBO optimization algorithms. The proposed optimization method is tested on 33 bus distribution network (DN) for the optimal placement of renewable distributed generations (DG) and shunt capacitors by considering the active power loss of the network as the objective function. It makes use of cooperative driving in the context of autonomous driving. The algorithm works without the use of route map and route planning. The broadcast information is sent by vehicle and the expected time of arrival and intersection point is identified. It is then possible to change the status of the vehicle in motion travelling in different directions reaching at the intersection point, thereby avoiding any possible collision.
