It involved 105 farm households selected through a two-stage sampling approach. A switching regression model was fitted to correct selectivity bias problem. From the result, males; non-household heads; farmers who had access to credit; farmers with high income and farmers further from micro institution had the higher probability of engaging in microenterprise activities. Among other factors, female dependent, income level and interest rate significantly influenced the amount of money saved by the households. The study demonstrated that microenterprise development is not only necessary for safeguarding the future of rural households but also for the sustainability of financial institutions. Policy makers are encouraged to take the opportunity to enhance the existing microenterprises in the district and also introduce new lucrative ones while rural households also give microenterprise businesses the much attention. Credit facilities should be made available to the households to boost their microenterprises.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131628146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

After collecting data from 2005 to 2011 we have used Two Stage Least Square (TSLS) estimation technique. We have found that trade credit supply and bank loan are simultaneously determined and have a complementary effect during 2008 financial crisis. On the other side trade credit demand and bank loan are simultaneously determined where bank loan causes trade credit demand to decrease. A substitution effect has been observed between trade credit demand and bank loan during 2008 financial crisis. Net trade credit and bank loan have a positive and significant impact on each other. These relationships are also remains significant as in before and after financial crisis. Financial crisis have a positive impact on trade credit supply and demand. We have also found an inverse relationship between financial crisis and bank loan.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127744210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the high attention has not turned into a large demand. Even with the support from the government, the sales of new energy vehicles remain far from acceptable. The disappointing performance of the new energy vehicles concerns the domestic automakers that desire to implement the new energy strategy. Starting from the consumers’ decision, this paper gives an economic analysis of the influencing factors of purchasing the new energy cars. Given the temporarily unchangeable infrastructure and environment, this paper provides some product portfolio under the current resource. Finally, referring to the influencing factors once more, we give the domestic automakers some suggestions to play up strengths and avoid weaknesses.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"31 355 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133318532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the strengths of Chinese cultural trade are hindered by barriers either set by other countries or induced by inherent differences. Although it is impossible to completely eliminate the effects of such trade barriers, yet efforts can be made in improving product quality, reforming government policies, perfecting human resources and designing marketing strategies, in order to alleviate the negative impacts of trade barriers. Given the limited scope of the present study, there are still many other crucial factors that are left out of the discussion of this paper, such as the influence of treaties in the WTO and the relationship between China and other countries. However, the unrelenting endeavor of the Chinese government and Chinese companies is sure to be paid off and Chinese cultural trade will embrace a brighter future.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133747334","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Consequently, there is an increasing demand for qualified graduates in the MIS specialty. However, there is a lack of the understanding of the MIS specialty among the Jordanian students. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine the factors affecting students’ understanding of MIS specialty in the Jordanian universities. The study followed quantitative research approach which is survey-based using a questionnaire. Around 250 questionnaires were distributed randomly to MIS students at the private universities in northern region in Jordan and 194 valid questionnaires were received. Multiple regression technique was deployed for the data analysis. The results revealed that the students’ capabilities, the students’ beliefs, and the students’ expectations were significantly influencing the students’ understanding of MIS specialty. Moreover, the results indicated that the developed model explains 40.5% of the variance in the students’ understanding of MIS specialty. Practically, students understanding of the MIS will enable them to market the specialty in Jordanian market.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"25 7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116375883","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
