This research explores the complex relationship among these variables Nurse burnout, characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and diminished personal growth, has become a growing concern in healthcare. High levels of burnout often result in diminished job satisfaction among nurses. Job satisfaction, in turn, influences the quality of patient care provided. Research shows that nurse burnout negatively affects the quality of patient care, leading to increased medical errors and decreased patient satisfaction. Conversely, higher job satisfaction among nurses is associated with improved patient outcomes, including better adherence to clinical protocols, improved communication, and patients’ overall well-being Appropriate This study emphasizes the importance of addressing nurse burnout and promoting job satisfaction as a key component of excellence healthcare facilities. These aspects encompass the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of strategies and regulations to optimize healthcare delivery. Robust health policies ensure equitable access, quality care, and cost-effectiveness, while planning entails resource allocation, infrastructure development, and workforce distribution. Successful health management systems hinge on evidence-based policies, stakeholder engagement, and adaptability to evolving health challenges. This abstract highlights the critical interplay between policy formulation and strategic planning, emphasizing their indispensable contributions to achieving efficient, accessible, and sustainable healthcare services.","PeriodicalId":16362,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Medical Science And clinical Research","volume":"67 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139207692","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

International Diabetes Federation, (2015) reported 69.1 million cases of diabetes in India. Worldwide 2011 estimation of prevalence of diabetes in the elderly population (60 years & above) is between 15% to 20% (IDF Diabetes Atlas, 2012). The present study titled “Effect of amla powder and turmeric powder consumption on geriatric subjects (60 years & above) suffering from non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus” involved multistage random sampling technique. The study was conducted on 18 geriatric subjects residing in Kala Mahal & Pipal Mandi area of Agra city, randomly divided into 2 groups- experimental group (N1=8) and control group (N2=9). 2.5g each of amla powder and turmeric powder was consumed by experimental geriatric non-insulin dependent subjects for 45 continuous days and its effect on fasting and post prandial blood glucose level was recorded and compared with the control group. Demographic, anthropometric and dietary patterns of both groups was also recorded. Statistical tests were applied and it was found that consumption of amla powder and turmeric powder was significantly effective on geriatric subjects (60 years & above) and there was a significant drop in the fasting & post prandial blood glucose level of experimental group on 45th day of feeding trial. In the 24-hour diet recall average consumption of thiamine (mg) was significant at 95% confidence interval (p<0.05)nwhen t-test was applied while energy (kcal), protein (g), carbohydrates(g), fat(g), phosphorus (mg), iron (mg), vitamin A (mcg), riboflavin (mg), niacin (mg) and vitamin C (mg) intake were not significant (p>0.05).","PeriodicalId":16362,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Medical Science And clinical Research","volume":"53 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139310321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two-thirds of the inguinal hernias are indirect and remaining are direct inguinal hernia. An indirect inguinal hernia is the most common, regardless of gender and in men, indirect hernias predominate over direct hernias at a ratio of 2:1. Direct hernias are uncommon. Strangulated external hernia is a relatively common serious surgical emergency. In these approximately 50% of cases involves small bowel obstruction and accounts for most of the deaths from this condition. Presenting a case of 64-year gentleman diagnosed with strangulated right inguinal hernia, managed with urgent surgery and underwent right hemicolectomy with Desarda’s repair in view of gangrenous caecum. This case report underscores the clinical presentation and prompt surgical management of an unusual case of a strangulated right inguinal hernia containing the cecum, entailing both hernia repair and right hemicolectomy. The Desarda’s technique was chosen as the hernia repair method which focuses on autologous tissue repair. Most common age group involved is between first to second decades but patients at extreme age have higher mortality rate due to late presentation. We are presenting a case of appendicitis which was complicated as long history at time of first surgery which led to caecal injury which was managed with ceacostomy. 62 years gentleman was referred from private hospital with fecal discharge from the open appendectomy wound and cecostomy tube insitu. Patient was diagnosed as phlegmon sequelae of acute appendicitis. Patient underwent emergency laparotomy, peritoneal lavage, removal of cecostomy tube, primary repair of caecal perforation and diversion loop ileostomy. Patient recuperated well. This case report highlights the challenges faced and complexities associated with failure of cecostomy in managing caecal perforation following laparoscopic appendectomy. The conversion from a laparoscopic approach to an emergency open appendectomy followed with cecostomy proved to be a vital decision in the face of phlegmon sequelae of acute appendicitis. The phlegmonous nature of acute appendicitis should be managed conservatively otherwise leading to a more aggressive surgical intervention.
