This paper presents a new three-phase and bi-directional IPT system that is suitable for rapid charging of EVs or high power V2G systems. The proposed system uses a three-phase track, which is coupled to a three-phase pick-up through weak magnetic coupling. Both track and pick-up are var compensated through an inductor-capacitor-inductor (LCL) resonant circuit and driven by reversible rectifiers. A mathematical model is presented to show that power transfer from the track (primary) side to the pick-up side in both directions can be controlled through either magnitude or relative phase angle of the voltages generated by reversible rectifiers. The viability of the proposed concept is demonstrated using simulations, and results suggest that the three-phase IPT system is suitable for high power applications and is superior in performance to its single-phase counterpart.","PeriodicalId":162453,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics","volume":"208 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124402637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several analytical models are then developed and compared for one-dimensional formulation. In order to identify parameters and validate such models, the saturated ferromagnetic sheet has been simulated using Flux® finite element simulation software. A statistical test is used to extract the evoked response and a decision tree is used to discriminate the stimulus frequency. Designed according such approach, volunteers were capable to online operate a BCI with hit rates varying from 60% to 100%. Moreover, one of the volunteers could guide a robotic wheelchair through an indoor environment using such BCI. As an additional feature, such BCI incorporates a visual feedback, which is essential for improving the performance of the whole system. All of this aspects allow to use this BCI to command a robotic wheelchair efficiently.","PeriodicalId":162453,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116668429","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed SVM-DTC method has constant switching frequency and low flux and force ripple while maintaining advantages of conventional switching-table-based DTC (ST-DTC) such as elimination of current loops, excellent dynamic response, simplicity and robustness. In the proposed method the force error value and flux error sign are used to determine the amplitude and angle of reference voltage vector. Simulation results of the proposed SVM-DTC method are presented and compared with both ST-DTC and conventional SVM-DTC methods to verify the steady state and dynamic performance of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":162453,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117175282","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This issue is addressed in terms of proposing a small and simple linear topology that can be used on a number of series-associated LEDs, working as a constant current source for each string. Such topology employs a four-component circuit, with low dependence on transistor parameters, ensuring easy repeatability and good current regulation. The dithering Multi-stAge-noise-SHaping (MASH) DPWM is intro- duced exhibiting a better idle tone suppression effect that achieves relatively higher effective number of bit (ENOB). The Linear Feedback Shift Register (LFSR) replaces the cumbersome pseudo-random generator as the dither generation module that is proven to be more effective. The SMC with the proper sliding coefficients aiming at a better dynamic response than the traditional PID controller cooperates with our proposed DPWM. Two individual boards, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a boost converter, connecting to a Virtex-II FPGA platform compose a close-loop test environment. Experimental results verify the switching-mode-power-supply (SMPS) close-loop operation at 1MHz switching frequency with an 11-bit effective DPWM resolution.","PeriodicalId":162453,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125836819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
