It is evident in various scientific literature arguing the livability notion from different scientific disciplines, such as social and environmental science. Indeed, the Liveability notion is ambiguous and complex that is perceived differentially according to each scientific discipline’s perspective. Moreover, establishing a consensus over a united understanding of the “Liveability Dimensions” term might be unreachable. Despite having appeared repetitively among various academic studies, the intended meaning and content of the “Liveability Dimensions” term is not necessarily held the same. Indeed, several scholars and organizations have defined the Liveability dimensions. However, every one of them has introduced his comprehension of Liveability dimensions based on his perspective or experience drawn from other scholars’ research. Through a case study analysis, this paper intends to establish a general understanding and background for the Liveability notion and shed light on the practical meaning of the Liveability Dimensions. The study was conducted in one of the top liveable cities worldwide, the City of Melbourne CBD. It is a city that is referred to be among the pioneers interested in the field of achieving liveable cities over the globe. The case study analysis was performed based on three main categories that combined reflected the livability dimensions: Physical and Environmental Indices, Economic Indices, and Social Indices. Through the study analysis, this paper concluded with a set of urban, economic, and social indices that contribute to creating Liveable city centers, where people, in the same area, can live, work, and entertain.","PeriodicalId":161226,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Research Journal","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131353473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research is about how a multi-criteria approach was employed in the decision-making process for a new airport in Egypt. It presents a practical way for discovering suitable locations in urban planning using remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems, which benefits both sustainable and economic development. The methodology of site detection depends on multiple-criteria analysis for choosing the optimum suitable sites. The most significant factors considered for this analysis are topography, urban areas, and geological characteristics. The study's constraints, such as distance from existing airports and land use, have been taken into account and will be explained later. Finally, a sensitivity analysis was conducted to decide the validity of the criteria used and to select the best site among the suggested locations based on the highest suitability score for each proposed location. The study results obtained five optimum suitable locations which are mentioned respectively Fayoum, the new Administrative Capital, Ras Sedr in South Sinai governorate, Siwa and Al Minya, which could help in the improvement of the aviation field. According to this study, a multi-criteria evaluation approach was utilized to assist decision-makers in selecting acceptable airport sites in Egypt. The technological (technical) concept has been directed at the level of educational spaces represented by information and communication technology techniques that keep pace with scientific and technical developments in the field of education and provide an appropriate internal environment for students to perform the educational process, so that the void contributes to the transfer of information in a more simple and flexible way for the student to interact with. The ecological (environmental) orientation is not a new trend, as it calls for a return to nature and the opportunities and capabilities it provides, as well as a reduction in dependence on technology. However, it has been neglected due to the excessive use of technological means of control without considering the negative impact of some of them on the environment, which has resulted in the failure to meet the requirements for architectural comfort As a result, the study looked at the impact of merging the two approaches through a third approach, using a more comprehensive system called the ECO-Technology Architecture (Eco-tech), This is based on connecting them all together in a framework An integrative that integrates technical and ecological applications that are eco friendly, and also their impact on the university education plan's levels of development ..","PeriodicalId":161226,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Research Journal","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121789466","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The efficiency of converting the incident solar radiation into electrical power is greatly influenced by the heat accumulation on the photovoltaic modules. Coupling the PV module with optical filters are considered to be one of the most promising techniques to dramatically raise the electrical efficiency. In the present investigation, two optical filters employing different static working fluids coupled with a PV module are designed and compared with the stand-alone PV module experimentally. The results find that the efficiency of the optical filter using water reaches to about 60.02%, which is higher than the optical filter employing glycerin by implementing the Monte Carlo approach. When the optical filters are combined with the PV unit, the electrical power output is increased by around 60 and 64%, respectively, when compared to the PV module without the optical filter.","PeriodicalId":161226,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Research Journal","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131599569","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
