The author of the article emphasizes\u0000that the nature of the string quartet is revealed at the intersection of the\u0000global categories of the genre and style in music, which are adapted through\u0000the corresponding traditions. The latter within themselves are differentiated\u0000into historical, which are inherent in different schools, as well as\u0000«personal» – peculiar to a particular author. The article outlines the general\u0000and special features of how each of them projects within the genre of quartet. It is noted that the historical aspect means the crystallization of the mono-\u0000timbral set of four bowed string instruments, which gradually emerged from the baroque «style of symphonies» and gained the status of stability during\u0000the period of Classicism. The national-style features of quartet principles\u0000become especially noticeable in a romantic age, which moves away from the\u0000classical interpretations of the genre. Finally, the genre tradition of the\u0000quartet is always seen at the individual level, particularly, within the quartet\u0000styles of the «Modern Time» masters, where there are a variety of quartet\u0000models – up to free, experimental, and «liberal genre» ones. It is for the first\u0000time in the national musicology that a generalized classification of the string\u0000quartet genre features is suggested; within the classification, the dialectical ratio of stable and mobile factors is highlighted and emphasized. It was also\u0000noted that the predominance of the former does not contradict the pluralism\u0000in the interpretations of the string quartet genre by the authors of different\u0000eras and schools, where in diachrony and synchrony the various figurative\u0000semantic and technological innovations are synthesized and mixed together.","PeriodicalId":161017,"journal":{"name":"Scientific collections of the Lviv National Music Academy named after M.V. Martyniv","doi":"10.33398/2310-0583.2018.44.92.103","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33398/2310-0583.2018.44.92.103","url":null,"abstract":"The research is related to the actualization of the national scientific\u0000heritage of the ethno-choreological direction, which is a significant\u0000component in the structure of cultural studies, art studies, ethnographic,\u0000folklore and choreographic research, one of the necessary conditions for the\u0000preservation of the national dance heritage in its traditional dimension.The\u0000methodology of the research is to use the analytical method - for the analysis\u0000of scientific sources from the ballet in the philosophical, culturological, art\u0000criticism, psychological, and pedagogical space; historical method - for the\u0000\u0000analysis of causal features of the emergence and formation of ethno-\u0000choreological knowledge as a form of understanding of dance art; a\u0000\u0000comparative method - to identify common and distinctive features of the\u0000method of treating the phenomenon of folk dance in the writings of prominent\u0000researchers of the past; a synthetic method - for a generalization of various\u0000subjective ideas and theories of domestic researchers in the field of\u0000choreography. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the first time in\u0000the national art studies the author has substantiated and defined the concept\u0000of ethnochoreology and its functions as the founders of this field of domestic\u0000scientific knowledge; It was traced and the stage of formation of the leading\u0000parameters of the concept of ethno-choreological problems in the scientific\u0000development was discovered not only within Ukraine but also in the\u0000Ukrainian diaspora; It has been proved that the historical background has caused chaos in the development of the scientific discipline ethnochoreology\u0000as a cultural studies and art-study branch of knowledge, the necessity of\u0000development of this direction of scientific research for preservation,\u0000reproduction and reconstruction of the traditional dance culture of\u0000Ukrainians, as well as the creation of new forms and development of the\u0000existing stage folk dance as a specific Ukrainian type of dance art; outlined\u0000the range of issues that require their immediate solution at the level of\u0000creating a conceptual-categorical apparatus of choreographic culture, the\u0000phenomenon of dance in a traditional society, its significance for the\u0000objective coverage of the existence of the Ukrainian people. The methodology of the research is to use theoretical and\u0000structural-system methods in the analysis of sources and samples of the\u0000didactic repertoire of different authors; comparative - in the study of the features of the individual author's style as the basis for mastering technical\u0000and sound creation tasks. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the\u0000first time the author analyzes the interconnection of traditions and innovative\u0000searches in the field of creating an executive-didactic repertoire for pianists\u0000in the class of general and specialized piano in the genre system of a cycle of\u0000programmatic preludes and small cycles with the help of contemporary\u0000composer creativity. R. Tsis's piano cycles have a significant didactic\u0000potential from the standpoint of understanding interpretative tasks in terms of\u0000different stylistics, genre varieties, principles of texture organization,\u0000composing techniques and sounding aspects. With a rather modest technical\u0000arsenal and small scale compositions, they reproduce a variety of formative\u0000techniques and principles of melodic development. Due to the presence of\u0000small cycles and the monogamous suite of preludes, it is possible to simulate\u0000the selection of the repertoire depending on the tastes, preferences and\u0000interpretive-didactic needs of a particular representative of the class of\u0000general and specialized piano. This approach allows individually to form the\u0000most appropriate set of works that would gradually build and develop the\u0000aesthetic and performing-interpretive potential of the student, his ability to\u0000solve artistic tasks and overcome technical difficulties. Scientific novelty consists in the fact that for the first time the\u0000author has isolated and comprehensively considered the musical components\u0000of cultural and educational activity of Ukrainian public associations of\u0000Drohobychnia of the studied period. This is one of the most actively\u0000studied in the Ukrainian territory, primarily by Chinese researchers. Special\u0000attention is paid to the theoretical issues of brass orchestral culture and\u0000creativity in the context of Ukrainian-Chinese artistic parallels. The purpose\u0000of the article is to highlight the main timbre and intonation semantic models\u0000in the brass parties of «Yellow River – The Golden Beach» by Zhu Jia He and\u0000show some excitement with famous works of European music on the example\u0000of Borys Lyatoshynsky’s symphonic poem «On the Vistula’s banks». The\u0000author proposes the concept of «timbre and intonational semantics» and its\u0000model, which is substantiated and illustrated in the process of analysis. In his\u0000interpretation, the author derives from the «intonational concept» introduced\u0000by V.Moskalenko and the concept of «intonational image of the world» by\u0000Yu. Chekan. It is concluded that in the symphonic poem «On the Vistula’s\u0000banks» by B.Lyatoshynsky the timbre and intonation symphonic expressions\u0000are an important factor. Extremely important role in this process is played by\u0000brass instruments as «signs» of figurative and emotional semantics of a work\u0000related to tragic rethinking of folklore material, its timbre and intonational\u0000modulation from the original version to the modern one. The brass parties in\u0000the work of Ukrainian culture coryphaeus B. Lyatoshynsky and the Chinese\u0000Zhu Jia He are represented by the various timbre and semantic models\u0000described in the analysis process. In the symphonic suite «Yellow River –\u0000Gold Coast» by Zhu Jia He, the use of similar timbre and intonation models,\u0000as in the work of B. Lyatoshynsky, became «symbolic» semantic phenomena\u0000of world culture. A set of methods has been used to\u0000achieve the goal and to solve the set tasks: analytical - in the study of\u0000scientific literature; axiological - that allows to reveal value orientations for\u0000the development of own stylistics; systematization - for determining the\u0000techniques of avant-garde music; musicology - for the analysis of the\u0000composer's suite in the aspect of the essence of «organic music». The example\u0000of the piano suite «Memories of the eight watercolor paintings» identified the\u0000style features of Tan Dung's creativity, the most typical of which is the mixing\u0000of musical traditions of the editors, multimedia and theatrical-ritual imagery.\u0000The essence of organic music and the origin of non-typical sources of sound,\u0000which appeared in the use of natural materials, was clarified. The desire for\u0000experimentation and innovation was manifested in the subtle feeling and\u0000imitation of the sounds of nature («music of water», «paper music», «music\u0000stones»); in combination of theatrical imagery and timbre of orchestral\u0000(national and European) musical instruments; in capturing the color of sound\u0000effects; in a combination of traditional national and western avant-garde; in\u0000the individuality of the approach to the use of pointillism. The practical value\u0000of the study is the possibility of using its materials in further research on the\u0000problem of «organic music».
