The authors of this communication employ that approach and the data obtained by modeling the behavior of an infinite planar array of rectangular apertures in order to draw conclusions regarding the operation of the elements of a finite array with the same geometry. The behavior of the individual elements in relation with their positions within the finite array is investigated.","PeriodicalId":158890,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116597122","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The electronic target features distinct antennas for transmitting and receiving. The electronic target basically receives a signal, down-converts it to baseband, applies a controllable time delay on the complex envelope, up-converts the delayed signal and transmits it towards the receiver of the SAR system. Since the delay is controllable, it can be used as artificial target with adjustable range. Even if the electronic target is placed in a cluttered area, its radar reflection can be moved away from its physical position. The performances of the electronic target when used for displacement measurements are evaluated.","PeriodicalId":158890,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124335217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this technique, the magnitude and phase asymmetries of the kernels of the PA excited by the probing-signal are analyzed in different amplitude regions of the large-signal. The device under test is a class-AB PA operating at 2.14 GHz. The maximum sweeping frequency space of the probing-signal is 20 MHz. The results indicate that the Volterra kernels of the PA show different behaviors (frequency dependency and asymmetry) in different regions.","PeriodicalId":158890,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127386039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this regard, a special focus is given to Video Distribution Networks (VDN), particularly in relation to existing difficulties in handling demands laid on the network as well as in relation to challenges in providing the expected Quality of Experience (QoE) and other performance demands like minimum energy consumption. The paper is focused on some of the most important elements associated with the virtualisation of Over-The-Top (OTT) video distribution networks and also advancing the system for managing the OTT traffic in Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) environment. The paper provides motivation, problem description, virtualisation target, standardisation efforts, NFV framework as well as short presentation of the main technical issues associated with managing the OTT traffic inNFV scenarios.","PeriodicalId":158890,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131587755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the cloud environments used by the big service providers, in the development and lab- testing environments (such as student's labs) and even in the evaluation platforms for applications security, it is routinely necessary to create and tear down multiple virtual machines. During the process of virtual machines creation, it is mandatory to assign network interface addresses, which are necessarily unique. This paper proposes an automated mechanism to provide these addresses in such a way that the human intervention is reduced and the mistakes are avoided.","PeriodicalId":158890,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"141 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126023900","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, both the hardware and the software aspects are considered. Thus, the BLE software stack from Texas Instruments and the CC2541 platform were chosen. Considering the CC2541 Keyfob device which contains an accelerometer, new facilities are firstly introduced by modifying the existing embedded software. Then, a new hardware component is connected, and the necessary software components are included in order to use this new element. The two main applications that are employed to monitor the activity of the BLE devices are analyzed and a new one based on MATLAB is introduced to improve the facilities of the existing applications. Thus, using the ideas presented in this paper, new BLE devices can be developed.","PeriodicalId":158890,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116726038","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, GMSM system is considered, where single individual antenna or combinations of antennas can be used for information transmission. The special case when no antenna is active is also included in transmission system. The constellation of the phase-shift-keying (PSK) is utilized as the signal system. The computer simulation results are given for the following values of fading parameter m: 0.5, 0.6, 0.75, 1, 1.5 and 3. The case when fading does not present is also considered. The hospitals and medical services available for the rising population is very low. There are still many areas in our country which do not have proper medical help available. But, during these past years, there has been a huge rise in the data service providers, which has provided a huge support for Internet of Things. Hence from the support of the IoT technology, remote and rural areas can also be provided with proper health services. In most of the researches which are done on the topic, there are many loopholes like, no machine learning is implemented, sensors are not secured over the network, etc. Some of these issues have been addressed in this paper with results output of the system. Further, the paper proposes a model based on the integration of machine learning with the current system to predict future diseases in the patient or that remote area.","PeriodicalId":158890,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130622115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
