The files were exported to the Nemotec Dental Studio program, which was used to obtain axial cuts of the maxilla so as to follow the palatine anatomy, keeping the buccal and nasal cortical bones centralized and equidistant. Two previously calibrated evaluators classified the axial images of the MPS into 5 maturational stages (A, B, C, D, and E) according to suture morphology. Kappa test was used to test intra and inter-examiner agreement and the sign test was used to compare the results of this study with those from the original method. Statistical significance level was set at 0.05%. The kappa values for intra and inter-examiner agreement were 0.88 and 0.69, respectively. The modified method was able to evaluate the MPS maturation status and could demonstrate stages of maturation in more detail than the original method. Classification of the MPS maturation with the curved suture axial cut of this method is similar to the original method, with the advantage of allowing evaluation of maturation in the midline of the palate, even when the palate was curved and/or thick. \u0000Keywords: Sutures. \u0000Palavras-chave: Sut

During the movement of the squat dynamic valgus, a change that affects all kinematics of the lower limb, tends to become exacerbated, necessitating adaptations in order to minimize the biomechanical disorder. Although studies have shown the effectiveness of squatting exercises, there is a lack of evidence to demonstrate, comparatively, the effectiveness of different adaptations in the decrease of dynamic valgus. The objective of the study was to evaluate to identify the efficacy of different adaptations in squatting exercise in the reduction of dynamic valgus. Therefore, study volunteers (n = 30) performed three types of squats: free squatting, squatting with elastic band and squatting with verbal command. The dynamic valgus wasmeasured by the knee frontal plane projection angle during the squatting movements, through captured images and analyzed by the software Tracker and ImageJ. Despite more cases in women, in both sexes, free squatting presented greater cases of medicalization of the knee than in comparison to the other two adaptations. Although both squat adaptations presented positive results, only squatting with verbal command showed a significant reduction of the dynamic valgus pointing out that this is the best adaptation treated. \u0000 \u0000Keywords: Genu Valgum. \u0000Palavras-chaves: Geno Valgo. Therefore, Nigeria, with almost two million people living with HIV, could be considered a giant “hotspot.” The main aim was to describe how the geospatial clustering of newly diagnosed HIV-infected adults in Cross River State helps define new “hotspots.”Methods: Secondary data collected between January 2020 and March 2020, identified and mapped around a presumed hotspot’s radius of influence (ROI), were analyzed using a “Hotspot Analysis” plugin in QGIS software. With a sample size of 3019, both seropositive and seronegative results were geo-referenced and the resultant map was analyzed to determine HIV-positive clusters. Results: From the 3019 spatial locations mapped, 720 (23.9%) were positive cases. Of these, 328 (45.6%) were thus estimated as being associated with the presumed hotspots. The remaining 392 (54.4%) were positive cases identified outside of the ROI of the originally presumed hotspots. The total number of mapped HIV testing services (HTS) points (both negative and positive cases) within the hotspot ROI was 1319, while those outside of the hotspot ROI were 1700.Conclusion: Unique hotspots where social gatherings occur tended to have a wider ROI. This research aimed to verify on the panoramic radiographs the anatomical characteristics of the mandibular canal, as well as to analyze and classify its pathways. Methods: The classification of anatomical variations of the mandibular canal was divided into four types: Class A (inferior direction); Class B (mesial direction); Class C (alveolar direction); and Class D (retromolar direction). The sample consisted of 500 exams, 207 (41.4%) males and 293 (58.6%) females, with a mean age of 29.51 years. Results: A prevalence of 30 anatomical variations of the mandibular canal was observed. The most prevalent classifications were Class B (43.6%) followed by Class C (23.1%) and D (33.3%). In no case was the presence of bifid canals classified as Class A. The anatomical variations of the mandibular canal appeared both unilaterally and bilaterally, in which unilaterally the prevalence was on the left side (50%), on the right side (20%), and bilaterally (30%).Conclusions: According to the results obtained in this study, a prevalence of 6% of bifid mandibular canals was found. The most prevalent types of the bifid canal were Class B and Class D, and the highest occurrence of bifid mandibular canals was left unilateral. It is concluded that the appearance of mandibular canal anatomical variations in panoramic radiographs is frequent and that additional care must be taken to approach the region.

For this, 19 women answered questionnaires to evaluate the habitual practice of physical activity and the characteristics and symptoms of climacteric and menopause. Anthropometric variables and body composition were also evaluated. The data were treated by means of descriptive statistics, Student's t-test and Pearson's correlation test, adopting a significance level of 5% (p <0.05). As a result, the majority of the participants were classified as active, however, the means of Body mass index, abdominal circumference and fat percentage were above the recommended health parameters. The climacteric symptoms presented by women with visual impairment were similar to the complaints of women without disabilities. Some physical symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, muscle and joint pain may have a greater influence of factors related to visual impairment, such as high muscle tone to maintain posture, and therefore deserve special attention. However, it remains unclear if the magnitude of those positive adaptations will lead to similar responses for hemodynamic variables in hypertensive subjects. The present systematic review aimed to assess the effects of exercise with and without BFR on acute and chronic hemodynamic and cardiovascular responses in hypertensive subjects. Studies published between 2000 and 2019 were included. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and non-randomized trials (NRCTs) which evaluated hemodynamic and cardiovascular response in hypertensive subjects practicing exercise with BFR or those comparing hemodynamic and cardiovascular response during exercise with and without BFR were also eligible. A literature research of English and non-English-language articles for review was conducted across PubMed and Science Direct databases, including reference lists of relevant papers. Level of evidence was determined according to the criteria described by Oxford Center for Evidence-Based Medicine. In addition, risk of bias was assessed using the modified version of Downs and Black checklist. Four studies were included involving 60 participants; from those, three were NRCTs and one was a RCT. Three studies included in this review evaluated the effect of resistance training with and without BFR and only one the effect of aerobic exercise. The score on Downs and Black checklist was 11. The main findings were that the included patients’ characteristics were not clearly reported, and all the revised studies contained significant methodological limitations. Thus, all studies were classified as being of poor methodological quality. In addition, the evidence level provided in all the revised studies was level IIb only (i.e. poor-quality studies). Considering the limited available evidence, no definitive recommendation about BFR exercise in hypertensive subjects can be addressed due to the weak methodological design of the studies. \u0000Keywords: Resistance Training.
