This paper proposes a method and a tool to facilitate requirements analysis process and class diagram extraction from textual requirements supporting natural language processing NLP and Domain Ontology techniques. Requirements engineers analyze requirements manually to come out with analysis artifacts such as class diagram. The time spent on the analysis and the low quality of human analysis proved the need of automated support. A \"Requirements Analysis and Class Diagram Extraction (RACE)\" is a desktop instrument to assist requirements analysts and SE students in analyzing textual requirements, finding core concepts and its relationships, and step by step extraction of the class diagram. The evaluation of RACE system is in the process and will be conducted using two forms of evaluation, experimental and expert evaluation.","PeriodicalId":158568,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Computer Research and Development","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121807064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method has been applied to gray-scale images in an automatic and adaptive fashion. It is shown that the IJA automaton detects noise and can reform it appropriately. It glides the image to find the pattern of noise and replace it by the relevant characteristics of neighborhood to carry out the local restoration. Then, the automaton makes the image sharp with gas diffusion model by learning alpha parameter. The IJA automaton calculates appropriate local value for each pixel. Finally, experiments are presented and comparisons with other common used techniques are introduced which illustrate the proposed approach produces excellent results for the problem of restoring gray-scale images.","PeriodicalId":158568,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Computer Research and Development","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124853809","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is different from conventional ship fin stabilizer that the lift of fin stabilizer based on movement mode of pitching and heaving is produced by initiative swing at zero speed. The lift control system is built according to lift feedback and lift limit. It is undoubtedly another development to introduce lift control to ship roll stabilization at zero forward speed. The simulation of anti rolling effect is researched at the different sea wave condition about significant wave height is 1m and 2 m, wave direction angle is 90* . And the anti rolling effects are 78.30 percent and 56.92 percent respectively. It is proved that the designed system could be satisfied with the need of anti rolling ship at zero speed. In this paper, comparisons are made on several pre-processing methods i.e. histogram equalization, local binary pattern, wavelet transform and multiscale retinex. First, the input image is pre-processed with the illumination correction method before the classification task is done. The results are evaluated using the Yale, ORL and our own UKM database. These databases include images with various illumination conditions and expressions. Using PCA as the feature extraction and Euclidean Distance as the classification purposed, our experiments shows that multiscale retinex achieved the lowest equal error rates with 5.03% followed by local binary pattern (7.52%), wavelet transform (12.53%) and histogram equalization (12.97%) on average for all three databases.","PeriodicalId":158568,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Computer Research and Development","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125415325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As our country is gearing up to enter an era of information technology, the possibility and the implementation of Moodle in the Malaysian educational arena is imminent. The findings of this research indicate that students generally can perform better in Moodle with reading comprehension tests compared to the traditional method. Although the margins and differences detected were minimal, being of advantage to the computerassisted version, it brings to light the potential that is inherent among our Malaysian students towards computerized testing. The study has also shed some light and proved wrong, the common belief that males are better than females computer related activities. In the course of the study, the interview and questionnaire reports clearly indicated that teachers and students especially, hold a positive outlook towards Moodle in Malaysia. It is of the researcher's belief that more studies by local researchers in this field would add strength to the findings encountered. It is hoped that this study would provide new horizons for future research in the field of Moodle for foreign language. It is evident though from the research findings that Moodle, and especially testing, will be received well by the student and teacher community in Malaysia.","PeriodicalId":158568,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Computer Research and Development","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117026085","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
