Therefore, revealing the added value of the process of manufacturing the most important agricultural crops and the various policies that affect the profitability of companies and factories operating in the field of food industries. Revealing strengths gives management the opportunity to succeed, and revealing weaknesses gives it the opportunity to identify their causes and try to eliminate them early so that they do not hinder future plans. Providing food also represents a real challenge for Egyptian society as a result of the imbalance between consumption needs on sound nutritional and preventive grounds and what is actually available of food, which has resulted in a food gap between production and consumption, as this analysis depends on data on manufacturing processes of raw materials. The raw materials used in the manufacturing process and the revenue list, and to maximize the role of food manufacturing in the national economy, This requires working to transform it from food manufacturing based on surplus agricultural production to food manufacturing based on well-producing contract crops, especially in light of the addition of large areas of vegetables and fruits, within the framework of reclamation and expansion operations in the new desert lands within the framework of the One and a Half Million Project. Acres, which is distinguished by the quality of its products in terms of production and export qualities. The research problem was the availability of a limited number of factories that exploit the abundance of agricultural crops at harvest time, especially horticultural crops. Which increases the loss, as statistics indicate that Egypt loses approximately 40% of tomatoes and 35% of fresh vegetables and fruits annually. The research results indicated that the added value of manufacturing is estimated by calculating the difference between the factory or company’s selling price for the manufactured product and the value of the agricultural raw material (fresh crop). The results indicate that the added value of manufacturing a ton of mango drink is estimated at about 10,870 pounds/ton. The results indicate that the added value of manufacturing a ton of tomato sauce is estimated at approximately 12,917 pounds/ton. The results also indicate that the added value of manufacturing a ton of strawberry jam is estimated at approximately 27,942 pounds/ton. Finally, the results indicate that the added value of manufacturing a ton of frozen green beans Estimated at about 10,200 pounds/ton. Three replicates in a split-split plot experimental design were employed during both seasons. The main plot was the various growth media [75% calcareous soil + 25% peatmoss (v/v) or 75% sand + 25% peatmoss (v/v), or 25% sand soil + 25% calcareous soil + 50% peatmoss (v/v)]. Three irrigation intervals were utilized in the subplot (daily as normal stress, three days as mild stress, and six days as severe stress). The sub sub-plot displayed Ascorbic Acid (As.A) solution as foliar spray three times per season at T 0 (tap water), T 1 (100 mg l -1 ), and T 2 (200 mg l -1 ).Results revealed a substantial interaction between varied potting media, irrigation intervals, and ascorbic acid applications. The most beneficial growth (plant height, leaves and branches numbers, and leaves dry weight/plant) and flower quality (flower number, diameter, as well as dry weight) resulted from using growing media of (75% sandy soil + 25% peatmoss (v/v) or 25% sandy soil + 25% calcareous + 50% peatmoss (v/v) in addition to irrigating every three days as moderate stress. The chemical components of leaves also increased significantly, such as proline, total chlorophyll and carotenoids content. The findings of this investigation also showed that ascorbic acid increased plant resistance to water stress and decreased the harmful effects of stress.","PeriodicalId":156935,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Advances in Agricultural Researches","volume":" 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138611374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its numerous beneficial properties made it a valuable crop worldwide. This study was carried out to investigate the morphology, biochemical genetic analysis and DNA barcoding for three different Jew’s mallow ( Corchorus olitorius ) Egyptian landraces. They were collected from different location within Egypt namely, Fallahy (North), Seady (South) and Swain (West). Results revealed that, Siwan landrace had higher values for plant height, leaves number/plant, branches number/plant and fresh weight followed by Seady, then Fallahy. Biochemical values generally showed no significant differences between most of the measured elements. Mineral composition data showed numerical increase in the Siwan landrace in some minerals than others including Boron, Sodium, Magnesium, Aluminum, Calcium, Titanium, Chromium and Zinc, while Seady landrace recorded the highest values for Cobalt, Nickel, Copper, Indium and Bismuth. PCR was performed for the landraces along with two universal primers ( RbcL-MatK ). RbcL gene was amplified at 800-900 bp, while MatK gene was at 900 bp. Data was uploaded on DNAman program and partial sequences of RbcL and MatK genes were submitted to DDBJ Gene Bank with accession numbers of LC732565, LC732566 and LC732567 for RbcL gene and LC732049, LC732050 and LC732051 for MatK gene. This study showed that, the Siwan landraces was more unique from the other two landraces; furthermore, DNA barcoding using RbcL and MatK genes is an effective and sufficient tool in identifying different C. olitorius landraces in Egypt.","PeriodicalId":156935,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Advances in Agricultural Researches","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123303994","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
