Identificar la influencia de la impulsividad con la práctica del consumo de alcohol y problemas asociados en adolescentes del Ecuador, así como las diferencias por género. Metodología. La investigación presenta un enfoque cuantitativo, de carácter descriptivo, comparativo, correlacional, explicativo y de corte transversal por medio de las escalas de impulsividad de Plutchik y The Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test. Participantes. 770 adolescentes (57.7% hombres, 42.3% Mujeres) entre 12 a 18 años (M=15 años; DT=1.71). Estudiantes de diversas instituciones educativas secundarias (74.3% privado, 24.9% pública y 0.8% Fiscomisional) de 3 provincias del Ecuador. Resultados. La impulsividad es moderada y el consumo de alcohol bajo entre los participantes. Existen diferencias por género. Estas variables se encuentran relacionadas moderadamente entre sí con r= .593; p< .05. Además, la impulsividad predice en un 53.1% los cambios en la varianza. Conclusión. La impulsividad es un indicador significativo para explicar la práctica del consumo de alcohol en adolescentes.","PeriodicalId":156868,"journal":{"name":"Revista de PSICOLOGÍA DE LA SALUD","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134478333","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Asimismo, las personas que realizan más actividad física llevan a cabo hábitos de vida más saludables y presentan mejoras en los niveles de diferentes variables psicológicas. Pero ¿este beneficio depende del nivel de actividad física que se practique? El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar el bienestar psicológico de una muestra de universitarios en función del grado de actividad física realizada. Método: La muestra está compuesta por 232 participantes de 18 a 46 años (M = 21.42; DT = 3.645). De ellos, 177 eran mujeres (76.3%) y 55 varones (23.7%). En relación con la intensidad de actividad física realizada, 116 participantes presentaron un nivel de actividad física baja, 48 moderada y 37 vigorosa. El IMC (Índice de Masa Corporal) de la muestra es menor de 25 (M = 21.8; DT = 1.8). Las variables evaluadas han sido Actividad Física, Alexitimia, Ansiedad y Depresión, Autoestima y Dificultades en la regulación emocional. Resultados: Al analizar las diferencias en las distintas variables de interés a partir de los niveles de intensidad de actividad física no se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas, a excepción de las escalas de Alexitimia y Autoestima. Conclusiones: Estos resultados difieren de los encontrados previamente en la literatura científica, pudiendo deberse a la homogeneidad de las características sociodemográficas de la muestra.","PeriodicalId":156868,"journal":{"name":"Revista de PSICOLOGÍA DE LA SALUD","volume":"105 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124712945","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Their worldwide prevalence is approximately 40%. Psychological factors play an important role in the development and maintenance of FGD. Although the relationship between FGD and anxiety and depression has been studied, there is no data at the local level. The aim of the present study was to explore the levels of anxiety and depression in patients diagnosed with FGD in a local sample. Forty-six patients diagnosed with FGD were studied. The Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI II) was used to evaluate the level of depression, and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) was used to evaluate the level of anxiety. 17.78% had mild depression, 26.67% moderate depression and 22.22% severe depression. 33.33% did not present depression. The median reported in state anxiety was 87 (IQR = 23.75) and in the trait anxiety was 93 (IQR = 16). Significant direct associations were found between depression and state anxiety (r(44) = .54, p<.001) and between depression and trait anxiety (r(44) = .61, p<.001). The results reflect that people with a FGD have high levels of anxiety and depression, similar to those found in other studies. Knowing these data will allow improving the treatments for this population, focused on an interdisciplinary approach.","PeriodicalId":156868,"journal":{"name":"Revista de PSICOLOGÍA DE LA SALUD","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122410308","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 559 university students participated (50.1% women and 49.9% men), aged 17 to 26 years. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses revealed the existence of seven factors, with adequate internal consistency values for the full scale (α = .92) and its subscales (α between .71 and .88). The scale showed concurrent validity with a dating violence scale (correlations between r = .304 and r = .602), and with a perception of social support scale (correlations between r = -.179 and r = -.397). It is concluded that the EDS is a valid and reliable scale to evaluate emotional dependence on the couple. Results point toward a useful resource for the measurement of this phenomenon in youth population.","PeriodicalId":156868,"journal":{"name":"Revista de PSICOLOGÍA DE LA SALUD","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127861472","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
