The aim of this research is to create a formulation and evaluate an avocado leaf extract cream preparation. The method used is experimental. Avocado leaf extract cream preparations are made based on varying stearic acid concentrations of 5%, 10% and 15%. Evaluation of the preparation includes organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH tests, spreadability tests, adhesion tests, and viscosity tests. Based on the organoleptic evaluation, the results showed that FI was slightly runny and contained bubbles, FII was slightly thick and FIII was thick. The FI color is brownish white, FII is yellowish white, and FIII is white, and all formulations have a characteristic creamy odor. The homogeneity test shows that all formulas have the same homogeneous preparation. The pH test of the cream preparation showed the same pH value, namely 6. The spreadability test resulted in good spreadability of the cream, namely between 5 and 6.8 cm. The cream adhesion test has an adhesion between 00.53 and 1.38 seconds. And finally, the viscosity test has a viscosity value between 4500 and 8900 mpa. According to the results of this research, avocado leaf extract cream can be used as a cream preparation, with the best stearic acid concentration being 15%.","PeriodicalId":154365,"journal":{"name":"Ad-Dawaa : Journal of Pharmacy","volume":"14 24","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139197253","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Temefos is a tool used in controlling Aedes aegypti larvae and its use for a long time without based on rules can cause resistance. This study aims to determine the susceptibility status of Aedes aegypti larvae to Temefos in the Ciamis and Cimaragas areas. The method of this research is experimental with samples obtained from residential areas in Ciamis and Cimaragas sub-districts then hatched into instar IV larvae at the Parasitology Laboratory of STIKes Muhamamadiyah Ciamis in May 2019. The results of the test on temefos 0.1 g showed that Aedes aegypti larvae from both regions obtained the results of Ciamis (100%) and Cimaragas (100%) sub-districts were still susceptible to temefos. From these results it can be concluded that the test larvae from both areas are still susceptible to temefos so that the tool can still be used as a larvicide, especially in controlling Aedes aegypti mosquitoes.","PeriodicalId":154365,"journal":{"name":"Ad-Dawaa : Journal of Pharmacy","volume":"165 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139204074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the Moringa plant, especially in the leaves, has another benefit , namely as an antioxidant. Antioxidants in Moringa leaves contain tannins, flavonoids, saponins, alkaloids, steroids and terpenoids. The purpose of this study was to determine a good formulation for the preparation of moringa leaf extract lotion with variations in the concentration of triethanolamine. The research method used is the experimental method. Data analysis was performed using the One Way Anova and Kruskal Wallis Test statistical methods . The results showed that the organoleptic test of slightly thick texture preparations for formula I, thick texture for formulas II and III; typical preparation odor of Moringa leaf extract; the color of the preparation is yellow. Homogeneity test of formula I was not homogeneous, formula II was not homogeneous in the third replication, formula III was homogeneous. The average viscosity test for formula I was 1,800 c.Ps, formula II was 8,300 c.Ps, formula III was 1,666 c.Ps. The average pH test for formula I was 6, formula II was 7, formula III was 8. The average adhesion test for formula I was 02.76 seconds, formula II was 02.02 seconds, formula III was 01.37 seconds. The average spreadability test for formula I was 3.9 cm, formula II was 6.6 cm, formula III was 6.9 cm.
