In the 21 century, the techniques of computer science, automatic control, telecommunication and micro electronics will group up very quickly. All these techniques are concentrated into a large building and/or individual workshop. For satisfying this situation, the Shanghai Construction Committee organized the interrelated institutes, companies and some experts to establish this regulation. It will be executed in the early 2000s. The essential contents of the regulation cover classification of the work environment for electrostatic protection, grounding technique, and material properties.","PeriodicalId":153945,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. For a signal via transitioning through the internal power and ground planes, the return current has to jump from one reference plane to another reference plane. The discontinuity of the return current at the via excites the power and ground planes, and results in power bus noise, and can produce an EMI problem as well. Numerical methods, such as finite-difference time-domain (FDTD), moment methods (MoM), and partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC), were employed herein to study this problem. The modeled results were supported by the measurements. In addition, the EMI mitigation approach of adding decoupling capacitors was investigated with the FDTD method.","PeriodicalId":153945,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. In order to prevent possible influences or adverse effects the knowledge of the magnetic field levels produced by the switchgear is necessary. A suitable concept to get magnetic field distributions around substations is described. This concept considers the emissions of switchgear from a general point of view and avoids investigating actual substations in detail. Rather it allows derivation of the field strength levels from the data of the switchgear type.","PeriodicalId":153945,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings.
