Counterpoise in mobile radiotelephony

Abstract

The paper deals with the decrease of the radiation efficiency of hand-held devices due to energy losses in the operator's hand and mismatching of the device's antenna input impedance close to the operator's head. A set for model studies is presented. Comments to necessary modifications of protection standards are formulated. Some mysterious protection means are introduced.
