The majority of IoT enabled devices rely on reliable data mining and data handling techniques that process both analog and digital data. The present manuscript focusses on the design of an ultra-low power 2- bit flash analog to digital converter. The flash analog to digital converter is implemented using a modified double-tail latch type comparator that consumes a minimal power of 0.65 µW and a delay of 133ps for an operational voltage of 0.6V at 16m technological node. The proposed analog to digital converter is equipped with bubble error correction and digital encoding techniques for fast and reliable data conversion. The proposed analog to digital converter consumes a power of 0.4 mW at the lowest operational voltage of 0.6V for 16nm technological node. The simulation of the proposed flash analog to digital converter yields a sub-milliwatt power consumption at different operational voltage ranging from 0.6V to 1.2V. The low power consumption values suggest the use of proposed flash analog to digital converter in designing next generation of portable, handheld and energy efficient low power electronic devices that are compatible with IoT technologies.","PeriodicalId":152207,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE International Conference on Nanoelectronics, Nanophotonics, Nanomaterials, Nanobioscience & Nanotechnology (5NANO)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125576084","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fluid inclusions which reveal dissolution of two phases, that is ice and salt-hydrates, can only be interpreted in ternary water-salt system. We have developed a fiber-optic sensor based on Fresnel reflection phenomenon to study the phase changes in the mixture of H2O-NaCl-CaCl2 ternary system by cooling them using liquid nitrogen. This fluidic mixture exhibited the separation of antarcticite phase of CaCl2.6H2O at the eutectic temperature of about -51 °C and remained as an unfrozen metastable brine at -200 °C for few minutes before it consolidated into a dense solid. The sensor proved efficient in measuring accurate response which correspond to thermodynamic models in literature and the sensor offers multipoint measurements from remote locations.","PeriodicalId":152207,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE International Conference on Nanoelectronics, Nanophotonics, Nanomaterials, Nanobioscience & Nanotechnology (5NANO)","volume":"170 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122574704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pregnant women and children aged below five years at more risk for the occurrence of IDA. Oral supplementation is the most preferred method to replenish body iron stores. However, the non-compliance of currently available iron supplements generates the need for alternate iron supplements that are more acceptable. The efficacy of currently available oral iron supplements is low because of the multiple side effects that occur due to lower absorption of the major supplemented fraction. This unabsorbed fraction of iron is the major reason behind gastrointestinal discomfort and associated inflammation. This supports the requirement of an alternate iron supplement that enhances the bioavailability with a lower iron dose. Here we have prepared the synbiotic hydrogel co-encapsulating iron and probiotic for improved iron bioavailability. We compared the bioavailability of iron from these hydrogels with commercially available supplements of iron. Iron bioavailability from these supplements was assessed on Caco2 cell line and ferritin levels were measured as a marker for iron absorption. The bioavailability of iron from hydrogels was almost equivalent to commercial iron supplements. This study shows the potential of these symbiotic hydrogels in improving iron status. More insights can be gained on randomized controlled studies on human subjects.","PeriodicalId":152207,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE International Conference on Nanoelectronics, Nanophotonics, Nanomaterials, Nanobioscience & Nanotechnology (5NANO)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130949923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In lightning system, LED plays a vital role. In 1950’s, LED by using Gallium Arsenide, was invented. But its output power radiance is too low. To overcome this drawback, Gallium Nitride is used in LED to enhance its glow. After Gallium Arsenide, p++-GaN/i-InGaN/n++-GaN layers are used in Tunnel Junction Structures. These Tunnel Junction Layer (TJL) GaN LEDs were simulated and it is found that output power improved by 36% with respect to that of conventional LEDs. The tunnel junction layers used in such a way to decrease the tunnel junction resistance is called hybrid tunnel junction layers. The resistances of tunnel junction layers were found to be 9.25×10−3 Ω cm2. Due to this, there is a drop in its efficiency. To enhance its tunnelling effect, the AlGaN/InGaN is interfaced with it. Thus, the proposed GaN light blooming along with TJL proves it unswerving.","PeriodicalId":152207,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE International Conference on Nanoelectronics, Nanophotonics, Nanomaterials, Nanobioscience & Nanotechnology (5NANO)","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133491464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These electromagnetic waves are transmitted and received using antennas. Recently emerged free space optical communication technology uses light waves traveling in free space to transmit data signals. For this our bigger antennas are replaced by minute optical nanoantennas. A main problem faced in optical communication technology is insufficient electromagnetic spectrum initialization. Nanoantennas are capable of solving this problem to a certain extent. The concept of optical nanoantennas is still in the very first phase of evolution. Developments in nanotechnology have improved nanoantenna fabrication techniques. So, a theoretical study of nanoantennas is highly desirable.
