These experiments should show a correlation between measurement of the isolation resistance and the rate of humidity and to determine: on one hand, from a qualitatively point of view, how the humidity is propagated (in which direction) into the insulation material, and on the other hand, from a quantitatively point of view, the propagation speed and the level of uncertainty. Comparison of neutral currents at reduced and full voltages is an important criterion for detection of fault in the power transformer winding during impulse test. Any difference in wave shape of the recorded current and voltage signal shows the failure of transformer. In this paper, identification and separation of a noise signal from the main neutral current are carried out using wavelet technique. In order to carry out analysis faults are created in discs of the windings of a 61 MVA, 11.5/230 kV generator transformer at different locations. Neutral currents are recorded by applying low impulse voltage. Contribution of each frequency in time domain signal is calculated by Daubechies wavelet. The use of iron-nickel and iron-cobalt alloys can significantly reduce the magnetic losses, and then increase the efficiency. At the same time, electrical motors are increasing their rotating speed thanks to the progress made in power electronics. The supply to the motors is not only limited to a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz, but will now be hundreds of hertz. Due to this, the magnetic field applied to the material in the stator is a high frequency and then induces high magnetic losses. The use of iron-nickel alloy and iron-cobalt alloys can reduce significantly the magnetic losses The magnetic sensitivity of iron-nickel alloys can not be reached by any other alloy. An example of sensor is presented in this paper. Induction at saturation of iron-cobalt is the highest known. This parameter can be directly linked to the size of the magnetic device. The question of managing the risks inherent in sourcing from emerging markets is twofold: 1) What are the common sources of risk? and 2) How can we manage them effectively? Risk is defined here as \"the magnitude of exposure to financial loss or operational disruption\" and stems from uncertainty in the emerging markets sourcing process. All risk must be evaluated relative to its potential cost exposure and the probability of occurrence. The distinctions between the total power available from the sun, the maximum theoretical power that can be extracted, and the actual power that is realized are discussed. Several manufacturers sell solar photovoltaic panels. The capabilities and costs for current systems are discussed. Short die life has discouraged production of copper rotors, but recent development of a heated nickel-base alloy die technology has solved the manufacturing problem; this is briefly reviewed. Copper rotor high efficiency motors are now commercially available. Performance characteristics of example motors are presented and design modifications employed to optimally utilize the high conductivity copper are outlined. Weight and cost savings realized by European manufacturers with high efficiency copper rotor motors compared to aluminum rotor designs with the same efficiency and performance characteristics are discussed. Applications for these motors in defense systems are now being examined for both 60 and 400 Hz equipment. Induction motors with copper rotors for traction also appear to have real advantages. In many of such applications, the components to be encapsulated are potted in thin- walled housings, typically injection molded from a variety of mineral filled thermoplastic materials. It is critical in such applications that the adhesive bond between the epoxy and thermoplastic remains intact throughout the life of the part, primarily to preclude catastrophic electrical failures but also to maintain mechanical integrity and to provide a seal from possible sources of contamination. This paper explores basic factors necessary for proper adhesion in such applications. The compressive strength of the insulators aged in an autoclave with conditions of 250degC and at 20 atm for 30 minutes, was about 7.6 kgf/mm2, which is close to that measured on insulators aged for 10 years in the field. From simulation results, the cement displacement changed linearly with temperature. At a temperature of 200degC, the shear stress was approximately 7 kgf/mm2; a stress that is brought about by a 0.07% expansion of the cement. It is evident that the cement would fracture at a 0.07% expansion, because the cement has about 7 to 9 kgf/mm2 flexure strength. A turning point in the shear stress with mechanical load occurred at 0.02% cement expansion. Important parameters for properly conducting each of the tests in a production environment are mentioned. When alternative test and analysis methods exist, they are covered. The latest developments related to these tests are described.
