Jain","doi":"10.12725/UJBM.48.6","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12725/UJBM.48.6","url":null,"abstract":"The purpose of this research is to prepare a predictive model for identifying credit crisis using an artificial neural network. The paper also aims to find out the driver and driven relationship between various financial instruments like CDS, FRA, IRS, and the Volatility index (VCAC) and government securities for France. The model, thus, is directed towards finding a threshold for credit pit events and linking various events corresponding to that dates where the threshold is breached to validate the accuracy and usefulness of the model. From the research, it is found that for France, the CDS-FRA-VCAC model derives the threshold for VCAC to indicate the probability of credit crisis or financial market crash. It is also found that sovereign bonds have a huge impact on France economy including various derivatives. This is probably why the Eurozone debt crisis impacted France much more than the 2008 financial crash.","PeriodicalId":151929,"journal":{"name":"Ushus - Journal of Business Management","volume":"159 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114768908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it has been observed that certain firms take incorrect measures while running their business. This work attempts to detect threads of possible financial frauds by Didier Sornette’s drawdown approach. Select CNX Nifty 50 Mid Cap stocks are shown here as samples. Drawdown approach identifies the breakpoints and clearly detects the dates and could be linked to the anchoring and herding behaviour in certain cases. Apart from that, other financial or strategic events could be linked as well. Qualified institutional buyers and large institutional investors can use this method as a corporate governance crosscheck, from an entirely different standpoint.","PeriodicalId":151929,"journal":{"name":"Ushus - Journal of Business Management","volume":"542 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116509151","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A survey was carried out among a sample of 90 IT employees with less than ten years of experience. A standardised questionnaire was used to carry out the survey. The study results indicate that employee voice has a positive influence on employee morale. Statistical analysis also indicates that there is a gender difference with respect to employee voice. The study aims to encourage management to promote a culture of increased opportunities for employee voice in a way that would, in turn, help in improving employee morale.","PeriodicalId":151929,"journal":{"name":"Ushus - Journal of Business Management","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132935381","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mediating role of employee co-dependency is investigated through the relationship between two variables, age and workplace victimisation. The results indicate a significant positive relationship between co-dependency and victimisation. In addition, co-dependency is found to be a mediator between age and victimisation. The paper concludes by arguing that instead of dealing with workplace harassment/bullying only through legal means, a preventive intervention targeting victimisation is more effective.","PeriodicalId":151929,"journal":{"name":"Ushus - Journal of Business Management","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123474562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
