According to the combline theory and full-wave electro-magnetic (EM) comparing simulation, a filter operates at 2.3GHz-2.75GHz with dimension of chip-size 1812(4.5mm × 3.2mm × 1.5mm) is designed and fabricated. It generates a wide stop-band with three transmission zeros at the high-side skirt at 3.3GHz, 5.2GHz, 5.7GHz respectively to reject interferential frequencies. The passband insertion loss is less than 2dB. To analyze the EMI, a UWB signal model was built firstly, along with its four typical UWB channels, under the WiMax interfering signal existence; then, based on the models of the signals and the channels, the UWB transmission performances under the interfering conditions are investigated. Simulated results show that the UWB system can be greatly interfered by the EMI signal; finally, some effective solutions are given. When the slots ware in resonance, the admittance and impedance could be extracted, and then we got the relationship between the offset and the angle of inclination with resonant slot length. On this basis, a method is presented for designing the large waveguide slot array antenna. To reduce the computation power further, the imaging region estimation is applied. Furthermore, the limitation and the restricted condition of DPT are analyzed for practical scenarios in this paper. A microstrip low-pass filter is taken as an example in three situations. However, they are inadequate in optimization design. Genetic algorithm (GA) optimizers are robust, stochastic search methods. They are particularly effective to find an approximate global maximum/minimum in a high-dimension, multimodal function domain in a near-optimal manner. Combining EMSS and GA is expected to design and optimize microwave/millimeter wave components effectively such as antennas, filters, couplers, etc., and it is expected to save time and effort of engineers. In this paper, HFSS software, as an example, is combined with GA through VBScript to explicate the method and steps of the combination. Compared to conventional formed array, Sequential rotation technique is easy to generate the circular polarization. To obtain the variation rule of smoke attenuation rate, practical attenuation measurement is an effective method. This paper introduces the design and implementation of a bistatic radar which is used for smoke attenuation rate measurement. The configuration of the radar system and the techniques used in this system, including oversampling, digital down conversion, digital filters, and coherent integration, are discussed. The Mode Matching method has been used to describe the matching situation at the exciting aperture. The Multilevel Fast Multipole Algorithm (MLFMA) has been used to accelerate the calculation. The Phase Extraction (PE) basis function is used to discrete the electric current.
