Abstract
The smoke attenuation rate in the millimeter wave band is useful to evaluate the jamming effectiveness. To obtain the variation rule of smoke attenuation rate, practical attenuation measurement is an effective method. This paper introduces the design and implementation of a bistatic radar which is used for smoke attenuation rate measurement. The configuration of the radar system and the techniques used in this system, including oversampling, digital down conversion, digital filters, and coherent integration, are discussed. The performance test result is presented.
