The finite difference method offers an attractively simple approximations for these equations. In this paper, the finite difference technique is performed in order to find an approximation solutions for the linear one dimensional convection-diffusion equation with random variable coefficient. We study the consistency and stability of the finite difference scheme under mean square sense. A statistical measure such as mean for the numerical approximation, and the exact solution based on different statistical distributions is computed.","PeriodicalId":15007,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Applied and Computational Mathematics","volume":"117 4 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89159055","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Laying chicken algorithm (LCA) is used for solving different kinds of linear and non-linear programming problems. This paper aimed at promoting the adoption of quality process capability design in a bid to improve the process stability of a process and improve the process performance in the long run of production. In ensuring this, the technique of design of experiment is adopted using factorial design after which the capability analysis was carried out on the data on plastic containers produced by molding machines as deduced from the control X-bar and Range charts, it was established that the process was observed to be stable and in a state of statistical quality control and the plastic containers produced were observed to differ from one another as a result of variation on the part of the operators of the molding machines.","PeriodicalId":15007,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Applied and Computational Mathematics","volume":"13 3","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91418646","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
