In daily practice the search of optimum solution bases a great deal on the designer intuition and experience. Therefore, multiple obtained results have a low degree of equipment use, unwarranted complexity, or excessive cost. Proposed approach is devoted to implementation of the novel expert system into the design stages concerned the work with databases of the drive components. Examples of effective algorithms are given to choose an optimum ratio of electrical and mechanical components. An analytical investigation is given, completely describing the operating behaviour of the converter. Herewith, the impact of the transformerpsilas properties and a calculation of the current stress of the semiconductors and passive devices is shown. The results are compared to the single active bridge with full bridge rectifier. With regard to a small ripple current at the converter input, the results can be used as a tool for an optimised converter design. All results are compared to simulations. The decoupled generation system consists of internal combustion engine, permanent magnet generator and AC/AC converter. Performance of single decoupled generation set are discussed supported by results of laboratory tests. The variable speed system provides high quality voltage in wide speed range when the step of load is low. However, when the step load is significant the voltage drop is not acceptable. Therefore to provide high quality produced voltage an additional energy storage, made from supercapacitor and bidirectional DC/DC converter, is applied. Such system performs very stiff voltage in any load condition. Integration of renewable wind energy system is provided via DC link of the variable speed decoupled autonomous generation system. The priority of the power draw is from the wind source. This is assured by a method of three reference signals for the DC link voltage. Daily distributions of solar radiation are presented for various clearness indexes kt. Additionally, taking into account the studies about solar radiation, a photovoltaic array system and a DC/DC buck - boost converter are studied. Simulation of the whole system is presented focusing on DC/DC converterpsilas control strategy so that the system operates in maximum power point (MPP) and converterpsilas output voltage remains constant. Incremental conductance algorithm is used for maximum power point tracker (MPPT) implementation. A simplest method for controlling duty cycle D and photovoltaic arraypsilas voltage by using a new variable (d = D/1-D) is proposed. Simulation results are shown and analyzed. Using a numeric computer, it can be commands the control of electrodes position independently on each one of three phases. Based on a conventional design method for the parameters of a PI controller, the variable response of a current control circuit with one channel is presented, in dependency of the intervention time of the step on the set value. Then, a model for the equivalent transfer function of the control circuits of the interleaved solution is presented. A new approach for the design of the parameters of the current controller is proposed. The control structure and power electronics circuit of VS inverter fed medium frequency induction furnace are described. The two resonant load topologies are investigated and applied. The control system assures fully synchronous operation in whole resonant load parameter changes. The control method and proposed converter topology results in resonant load independence on inverter parameters. It allows simple, modular converter construction. The monitoring system receives the messages from four control modules in the SHEV bus through a CAN, and then displays the data in the messages on a touch panel. In addition, all gauges and the on/off switching state of a set of telltale lamps are indicated. The modification of the conventional system by introducing a boost converter is proposed. But in such a microgrid, it is afraid that serious voltage imbalance may be caused by unbalanced loads during the islanding operation. Fortunately, grid interactive inverters of the distributed generators often have some amount of surplus capacity. This paper deals with a three-phase balancing method utilizing the surplus capacity. By the proposed method, the inverters output negative sequence currents to suppress the voltage imbalance within their surplus capacities.
