By using FEM, the electromagnetic and thermal fields of IMCCR are analyzed with coupling. The electromagnetic fields of motor operating with locked rotor and striking current are calculated first, and the transient heat transfer processes in motor are studied through thermal analysis. Thus, effects of operating state on motor performance are studied, especially for the windings insulation. The obtained results are compared with the experimental data.","PeriodicalId":148739,"journal":{"name":"Digests of the 2010 14th Biennial IEEE Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation","volume":"462 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123371903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through improving the image reconstruction algorithm, the imaging object need not be placed in the uniform magnetic field area, and this make it possible for we to use only one permanent-magnet and one exciting coil to achieve image reconstruction. Therefore, the new technique can simplify the structure of the image system and then reduce the development cost availability. This is significant for the application of MAT-MI. To test the validity of the technique, test model was analyzed, and the availability of the method was demonstrated.","PeriodicalId":148739,"journal":{"name":"Digests of the 2010 14th Biennial IEEE Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125720313","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus the computational cost is greately reduced. The effectiveness of the model is explored in the case of an inductor excited by a sinusoidal voltage source at frequencies of 500 Hz and 40 kHz. With this aim, experimental and computed results of voltage and current waveforms, power losses and nonlinear resistance (representing hysteresis and eddy current losses) are presented.","PeriodicalId":148739,"journal":{"name":"Digests of the 2010 14th Biennial IEEE Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation","volume":"2016 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125732596","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The machines were operated with sine-wave current-regulated power electronic drives. A coupled finite element model was used for the electromagnetic field and electric circuit analysis. Special instrumentation was employed for the measurement of 3D forces. It is shown that stator winding parallel paths can be very effective in reducing the effect of motor faults and asymmetries, such as rotor eccentricity.","PeriodicalId":148739,"journal":{"name":"Digests of the 2010 14th Biennial IEEE Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126819335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In newly suggested design, PM is utilized to enhance the adhesive force during attachment, while electromagnet is introduced to weaken magnetic field and reduce the adhesive force for easier detachment of wheels from steel plates. To characterize the performance, 3-D finite element analysis is executed using commercial FE program. Experimental test is performed to compare with the result of the analysis. The results show that the adhesive force is reduced effectively by the electromagnet.","PeriodicalId":148739,"journal":{"name":"Digests of the 2010 14th Biennial IEEE Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115873841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the actual dimension of valves, the Method of Moments(MOM) based on the point matching method is applied to extract the capacitances, including the self-capacitances and the mutual capacitances between the valve modules in the valve hall. Firstly the surfaces of conductors are meshed into small area elements, and the surface charge density of each element is considered as a constant. Then the potential coefficient matrix corresponding to elements can be achieved by MOM. The capacitance matrix can be acquired through matrix transformation. The proposed method is flexible and fast compared to the Finite Element Method (FEM) and Boundary Element Method (BEM), since it is unnecessary to solve the conductor surface charge and the electric field. The calculation results agree very well with the capacitance testing experiments.","PeriodicalId":148739,"journal":{"name":"Digests of the 2010 14th Biennial IEEE Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116650753","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For accurate motion control of the levitation the end-magnetic-field-effect on the stator windings is taken into account, thus the equivalent magnetic charge method is proposed to calculate the 3D end-magnetic-field and compared with the finite element analyses (FEA). In order to apply the COCR and COCG methods our formulation preserves the symmetric character of the matrix for PML by introducing asymmetric intellectual materials at outer boundaries. Our formulation can be fit into a family of shifted linear systems, that has identical right-hand sides and their coefficient matrices differ from each other only by complex scalar multiples of the identity matrix. Shifted-COCR and shifted-COCG methods are applied to exploit the special structure and the numerical costs are shown to be as the same as that for a single linear system.","PeriodicalId":148739,"journal":{"name":"Digests of the 2010 14th Biennial IEEE Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131189158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
