In order to comprehensively analyze magnetic field distribution in the rotating flux machines, a 3-D magnetic properties testing system fit for cubic specimen has been constructed and modeled by means of finite element method (FEM). Taking the magnetic reluctivity tensor into account, this paper presents the modeling of 3-D tester core and analyzes the 3-D properties of a kind of SMC material. It has a wide application prospect on hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). One of the main disadvantages of this machine is that as one of the rotors has armature winding in it, a brush and slip rings must be used. Some research work has been done to solve this problem and a novel brushless scheme is proposed in this paper. The new type of brushless CS-PMSM consists of one stator machine (SM) and one brushless double rotor machine (BDRM). Although the stator winding of DFIG is directly connected to a grid while a rotor winding is connected to converters, it has a large outer size because of the high current in the stator winding. This paper proposes a grid-connected to a rotor type DFIG where rotor winding is connected to the grid instead of stator winding. In order to verify the size reduction of the proposed type, a loading distribution method (LDM) is utilized. Then the characteristic analysis is performed using the equivalent circuit method (ECM). As a result, the total volume of the proposed type was decreased by about 10.73 %. The key part CS-PMSM is a high integration of two electric machines. The connection way of the CS-PMSM in the HEV system is discussed. Different topologies of the CS-PMSM are put forward and evaluated by finite-element method (FEM) respectively. A downsized axial-axial flux prototype machine was designed and manufactured for the testing facilities and concept validation. In the DC linear motor system, the conductive plate is added under coils for damping force to improve motor's dynamic response. In the preliminary work, the formula of magnetic field distribution is obtained by the method of images, so the eddy current inducted in the conductor is calculated. Then the damping force is obtained after the equivalent resistance and inductance of conductance place are calculated.
