The combination of studying abroad with the choice of tourist destination is a common practice among students around the world. The aim of the current study is to establish the relationship between study abroad programs and tourism during the stay in the chosen destination, through a case study of Erasmus students at the University of Economics – Varna. For the purpose of the study a survey had been conducted among representatives of international Erasmus students in UE-Varna. The results showed that the relationship between education and tourism is more likely to intensify within and outside the country. In the context of follow-up studies, the results could be adapted to identify the potential economic contribution of the Erasmus programme to the tourism development in the destination.","PeriodicalId":147865,"journal":{"name":"Izvestia Journal of the Union of Scientists - Varna. The direct payments form a part of the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union and can be divided into several main types: Single Area Payment Scheme (SAPS), Redistributive Payments and Small Farmers Scheme intended to support small farms with a view to increasing the competitiveness in the field of small-scale agriculture. The purpose of this article is to analyze the economic and the social effects of the direct payments developmental impact during the first and the second programming periods. In order to achieve the present goal, an inquiry has been conducted together with a few in-depth interviews with small farmers who receive financial support in this way. The article contains the results of the inquiry involving leaseholders and farmers, conducted in North-East Bulgaria.","PeriodicalId":147865,"journal":{"name":"Izvestia Journal of the Union of Scientists - Varna. It is based on the understanding that the choice of the entrepreneur for the location of the business should not be based on intuitive but objective prerequisites. They derive from the right mix between natural and socio-economic characteristics of the region and the specifics of the emerging business. The classification method for the types of evolution of the regions assumes the use of several indicators: production, employment and productivity of the region. Despite its clarity, its application is related to some difficulties and disadvantages which are shown in the article. The Shift and Share Analysis method is reviewed in greater detail, which application and results are demonstrated by an examination over Dobrich area.","PeriodicalId":147865,"journal":{"name":"Izvestia Journal of the Union of Scientists - Varna.
