The study object is the discourse of Internet users, i.e. statements posted especially in social media. The study is intended to show whether there exists a normalisation of rude behaviour or perhaps even age discrimination. To investigate these questions, the study will aim to answer: how the online discourse about negatively perceived children is shaped, how the Internet users refer to children, what they say about children etc. Thus, I would like to consider adding a special group to the list of discriminated groups, especially if we consider the tradition of speaking well of children. Children as a discriminated group have not been the topic for in-depth analysis in sociological and linguistic works so far. The theoretical background for the decisions made is the normalization of rude behaviour and age discrimination. The methodological equipment of resources for research projects consists in the creation of linguistic discourse analysis, as well as digital humanities tools that enable automatic language processing.","PeriodicalId":14786,"journal":{"name":"Język. The research aimed at establishing the most effective techniques primary school dyslexic students may have while teaching English to be confronted with these mostly used by FL teachers. To gather the data necessary for further analysis, a quantitative method (a questionnaire for FL teachers) was used. The results show the necessity to adjust the available FL teaching procedures to the needs of dyslexic students at the same time. In the article a specific translation technique and the reasons for the differences between the original and translated text are considered. A strong opposition to the accuracy of the translation is a different understanding of the text, due to differences in religion. By the time of the creation of most Slavic translations, Christian exegetics was fundamentally different both from the ancient understanding of sacred texts and from the interpretation adopted in the rabbinical tradition. Intertextual differences may be due to differences in culture that have nothing to do with the religious system. The difference between the original and the translation is due to the fact that not all translators were equally gifted linguists; they didn’t know the original language and the subject in question equally well. Therefore, in the textual structure of the translation, we can meet with various kinds of deviations from the essence and form of the original, up to language and substantial mistakes.","PeriodicalId":14786,"journal":{"name":"Język. She was the author of numerous poems and translations that were translated into many languages, including Polish. The poet’s work includes both reflective, subtle lyrics, as well as poems, historical works and memories, e.g., about Russian literary figures. For many years, her works were not published because she lived in times of harsh political repression and severe censorship. The aim of this paper is to present the life and work of the Russian poet and translator, a leading representative of modernism and Acmeism, with particular emphasis on Polish traces in her biography and works. The most important tricks used in more complex texts include the use of classic fairy tale narratives, the narrative style of animated films and the names creating brands (logos) of famous groups of influencers. In the case of single or multi-component expressions and company names, we are dealing with stylistic and word-formation innovations created on the basis of the names of production companies, as well as names and common words. These forms most often take the form of diminutives and shortenings, less often - thickenings. These neologisms also become chrematonyms, distinguishing a given product from many similar ones produced by other companies. The study assumes that in 2016 - 2023 the changes that have taken place in the curriculum of the early childhood education major and the experience of the health crisis during the Covid-19 pandemic, influenced an increase in level of health-promoting attitudes and healthy lifestyle activities of respondents. A total of 170 female students of The Jacob of Paradies University participated in the study. The standardized research tool used was the Health Behavior Inventory according to Z. Juczynski. The results showed that female students surveyed in 2023 manifested marginally higher intensity of health behaviors than their predecessors surveyed in 2016. In the assessment of the overall intensity of health behaviors, a positive change was observed, in which a medium and high level in 2016 was obtained by 45% of the respondents, while in 2023 the same level was obtained by 60% of the respondents.","PeriodicalId":14786,"journal":{"name":"Język. It was the first large (more than 15,000 entries) dictionary of foreign words in the history of Polish lexicography. Its metalexicographical shape (the arrangement of entries, the order of meanings within an entry, the system of explanation, the system of qualification, etymological clues, examples of usage) has become a model eagerly used by successive dictionaries and lexicographers until our modern times. The authors of the Słownik wileński [Vilna Dictionary], published in 1861, were the first to copy the work of Michał Amszejewicz (without disclosing the source). Out of 670 noted word entries, phonetic interferences accounted for 146 entries, morphological interferences for 116 entries, and lexical interferences for 176 entries. As regards graphical interferences, 263 uses of Cyrillic letters (ъ, ы, я, н, б, ч, л) account for some 70 entries, while 163 lexical entries attest to about 300 mistakes such as ɡom ‘dom’ [house], namiętać ‘pamiętać’ [to remember], tożemy ‘możemy’ [we can], napicał ‘napisał’ [he wrote], buł ‘był’ [he was], tytaj ‘tutaj’ [here], kupułem ‘kupiłem’ [I bought (masc.)].
