I have avoided going into technical or computer-related details, preferring an intuitive presentation that would focus a reader with a background in linguistics or philology, in general. The declared aim of the work is to strengthen the ties between linguists and computer scientists on both sides of the river Prut, that would trigger common approaches and efforts to increase the Romanian language.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"17 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139299914","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

After, in the first centuries after Christ, it managed to consolidate itself on an area that stretched from the Black Sea to the Adriatic Sea and from the Balkans to the Wooded Carpathians, becoming a true \"lingua franca\" of the inhabitants of Europe from East, it had to yield to the newcomers, restricting itself to the hearths where it is spoken today by approximately eighteen million \"Daco-Romanians\", a few hundred thousand Aromanians, a few thousand Megleno-Romanians and barely a few hundred Istro-Romanians. The interest of the Romanian language in terms of the general study of European languages was imposed early on and is constantly growing. In this sense, the present article aims to present Alexandru Ciorănescu’s approach, to develop and complete an etymological dictionary over five thousand kilometers away from the country, which must be considered a huge effort. The Etymological Dictionary of the Romanian Language is a work and information tool made available to those interested not only in the Romanian language, but also in other languages (Romance, Slavic, etc.) with which it had connections during its history. The edition in Romanian is intended to be a modest tribute to the scholar Alexandru Ciorănescu, a prominent personality of Romanian philology and culture.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"81 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139291128","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Intertextual projections are also present in the play „Attic in Paris overlooking death” through quotes, allusions and a subtle parody. Beyond Visniec’s admiration for the Cioranian opera, the play reveals an identity problem present both in Cioran and Visniec, namely the profile of the Romanian writer exiled in France. We witness a metamorphosis of the philosopher Cioran into the character through memory loss. The presence of quotations from the philosopher’s work denotes in the dramatic work a genuine generic and linguistic hybridization, while the use of cinematographic projections in a stage performance leads to a cultural and artistic symbiosis.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115141363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Goga and Cotruș are representative for Transylvania, Vieru and Păunescu are emblematic for Moldavians, whereas Eminescu is emblematic for the Romanians of all the historic provinces. For those living in Basarabia, Vieru represents a prophet of their Nation, an apostle of the Romanian Nation standing against the historic oppression, in the form of the Russian camps. To the elitists and relativists from Romania, Vieru is regarded as a representative of the traditionalist literary currents, frozen into an obsolete aesthetic manner and a heroic dimension out of phase. The article portrays Vieru’s relations with the Romanian 60’s generation of poets and their lyrical formulas assumed by Modernism.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127484630","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a only natural that all the changes occuring in the world have an echo in the language, in general. And, since these changes can be downright overwhelming, they are all reflected in the lexicon and in communication. At the same time, we should mention that some linguistic areas have a greater impact on new lexical acquisitions than others. But, whatever the trends in this regard, there is a progressive growth of international neological elements, and, through them, a standardization of perceptions, of thinking in the immense space of human civilization. We note that the investigation of trends related to the ever closer interpenetration of languages through the use of an international neological lexicon constitutes an ongoing objective in linguistic research.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124925761","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In logic – both formal and informal – a restrictive concept of argument is used, with mainly didactic purposes: encouraging an argument type considered as „standard”. Treating arguments from this perspective neglects the multitude of argumentation forms present in everyday conversation, which often have very little in common with formal argumentation structures. When we view argumentativity rather as an orientation of a conversation, independent of the form „arguments” take, the interlocutors’ attempts to persuade one another can be analyzed from other theoretical and methodological presuppositions.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"20 5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131520484","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We will follow in the writing the key defining identity markers for the diary character, this narrative self par excellence, from the effort to relive the “first self” related to the symbol of the parental home and the emblematic figures of the parents in the first chapter of the diary, to the attempts of autoscopy and disclosure of the essential self that stems from a reflexive consciousness bent on understanding the world and preoccupied with the national drama (the struggle for the Romanian language, the Latin script, the exit from the administrative tutelage of the Moscow Writers’ Union). Besides these, we will also discover the internal dialogue, the inner turmoil in the later chapters, which configure a search for the essences of the writer in a conflicting relationship with time.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127453768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
