The analysis starts from the connection between physical and cosmic body (followed by intermediate occurrences), but attention will also be paid to the manner in which language tests its unconventional range ‒ including through comparing Mészáros’ poems with Sylvia Plath’s or Anne Sexton’s creation. At the same time, I also intend to focus on the duplication of common logic, which is complemented by personal reasoning, entrenched in (historic) trauma and (erotic) energy. As my considerations try to reveal, Judith Mészáros embodies the self-sacrifice ethic. She is the writer of pivotal poems, that outweigh their meaning.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139291591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its multiple configurations, due to the poetic way of seeing the world, associated with an artistic vision that creates sensitizing halos and tribute to a lyrical utterance, place the Drutian work in a field where epic, lyricism and poetics intermingle in perfect harmony. Generated by expressive and sensitizing poetic images, the lyricism is maintained, locally, by numerous syntactic figures, gathered in relatively symmetrical blocks, often having a gradual effect. The ingenious correlation of the units of the imaginary (images, states, characters) stimulates the ebb and flow of lyricism, its storages and accumulations on extended dimensions of the narrative.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139298703","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The author captures the entire oppressive mechanism and how the totalitarian system managed to create identity fractures, leaving deep traumas in the collective memory. Simultaneously, we observed the moral deviation that an ideology can produce, effectively depicted through fictional characters, revealing the entire process of identity erosion in Bukovina. Consequently, we have appreciated the literary value and artistic sensitivity that succeeded in illustrating a world in a mess.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"11 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139299980","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For these three authors, the telling of a story is quite a ritual, enjoyed at leisure, never rushed, which needs the adequate place and adequate listeners. Nevertheless, the presence of several narrators (some of them being unreliable sources) and the multiple reflections do not leat to any revelations, but enhance the uncertainties and doubts. The mystery is always undermined by indiscretion, but the authors are certain that the beauty of a story lies in its mystery.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"59 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139300593","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The relationship between the diary character, implicitly the one from the documentary prose fragments ‒ narratives that identify with A. Marinat, articulating the trajectory of the writer’s human and literary destiny, and totalitarian Power, the reactions of the budding writer to the identity project imposed by the system ‒ will be analysed to underline the consequences of political pressure on the character’s moral profile. Thus, the study offers a broad perspective on the meaning of Power, seen on the one hand as \"a diabolical force\" and on the other hand as a \"necessary evil\" that involuntarily strengthens the identity of the individual, representing a case of resistance to the politics in which the power undoubtedly belongs to the writer A. Marinat.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139294022","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From a theoretical and practical perspective, a visual image immortalizes a moment in space and time, facilitating the recourse to the information it holds whenever needed. The photography can communicate to you several types of information, on the one hand, about the personality of the one who made this immortalization, revealing details about the preferences and skill of the master photographer, and on the other hand, it expresses realities, historical, social, ethnographic details of eternal temporal moments and habitats, motivating us to become critical consumers of visual images. For these reasons, the rhetoric of the image (Roland Barthes) becomes emblematic for ethnological research. Researchers in the field of Romanian ethnological photography delimit the period of flourishing (development) of visual documentation from the first half of the 20th century into two segments, the first up to Joseph Berman and the second – after him. With its affirmation in the photographic field, ethnological documentation took on color, becoming „alive”, loaded with deep meaning. The famous sociologist Dimitrie Gusti, appreciating his talent, called him: „co-author of the image of the Romanian village and peasant” and, rightly, did not accept a monographic campaign through the villages of Romania without Berman’s skill and talent, considering any other type of ethnological research compromised from the start.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"23 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139303724","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, some writers took refuge, in the happiest cases, in the professions of the book, especially in translations, others – in essayistic, parabolic, experimental or diary writings. They were all approached as forms of internal exile, undertaken by writers, thus risking that their works would not be published. Internal exile, most of the time, produced psychoses, neuroses, humiliations similar in amplitude to the drama characteristic of external exile. Namely, these manifestations of internal exile are reflected, for the most part, in the writings of Vladimir Beșleăgă, which constitute the research object of the present study.","PeriodicalId":146615,"journal":{"name":"Filologia modernă: realizări şi perspective în context european","volume":"23 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139295829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
