The bispectrum was used to inhibit the Gaussian noise in measured vibration signals and to reveal the fault related non-Gaussian information. We propose to divide the dual-frequency plan of bispectrum into several partitions and use the total amplitude value of each partition, which related to the non-Gaussian intensity of vibration signals, as feature values for identification of pitting fault. It can be seen by comparing the results between pitting fault and normal condition that the proposed method are effective for the extraction of gear pitting fault information from noised vibration signals and bring stable performance, high sensitivity.","PeriodicalId":145608,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125525410","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dimensions of the robot are within several centimeters (such as 7.5cm × 6.5cm × 7.5cm) and the weight is approximate a hundred gram, including the drive and control circuits, the main structure, the piezoelectric beams and the batteries. In contrast to existing mobile micro robots, the actuating mechanism of the proposed robot is piezoelectric bimorph beams, and the driving principle is the piezo-based vibromotor technique with vibration wave (traveling-wave) as drive source to actuate the robot. Since the robot is wireless, the challenge subject of the research is how to minimize the drive and control circuits with high voltage supply (up to 50V) based on battery voltage alone. The robot has speed up to 14 mm/s in 50V and with a frequency of 75Hz on a polished steel surface without extra loading. The robot can bear approximate 96g extra loading.","PeriodicalId":145608,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114886406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The functions of those lamps are limited for its size, caused high maintenance costs and performance instability. Aimed at computer technology, modern signal analysis and processing technology, a mini intelligent methane detecting and alarm system is developed. Firstly, the status of domestic and overseas research of the intelligent methane detecting system was presented. Then the auto-calibration methods are introduced to achieving the maintenance-free. The automatic and visualized calibration technologies of intelligent methane detecting system are described in detail. Finally, the experimental data is analyzed. The system improved the detection accuracy, prolonged calibration cycle of the methane measuring device and lessened the working strength on calibration. Since the current discretization methods can not accurately reflect the degree of the class-attribute interdependency of the industrial database, a new discretization algorithm, which is based on information distance criterion and ant colony optimization algorithm(ACO), is proposed. The paper analyses the information measures of the interdependence between two discrete variables, and an improved information distance criterion is generated to evaluate the class-attribute interdependency of the discretization scheme. In the algorithm, The ACO is applied to detect the optimal discretization scheme, and a new pheromone matrix is defined on the construction of the optimization, and an effective heuristic values assignment approach, which is used with the criterion values of discretization scheme, is proposed. We performed the experiments on a real industrial database. Experiment results verify that the proposed algorithm can produce a better discretization results.","PeriodicalId":145608,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation","volume":"276 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114484779","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This scheme comprises an MRAC controller and an online NN controller in the velocity-loop and a traditional PD controller in the position-loop. For reducing influences which arose from modeling error, unknown model dynamics, parameter variation and disturbance acted on the velocity-loop, the NN controller is introduced to reduce the various influences mentioned above, and to adjust system to track the nominal velocity-loop reference model. Especially, as an innovation, a robust item is adopted to guarantee the system globally steady. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, updating algorithm of the weights of the NN controller, parameters of the MRAC and robust item are designed. Experiment results demonstrate that the proposed strategy can achieve high tracking precision for real-time position close-loop servo system.","PeriodicalId":145608,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation","volume":"96 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128269893","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This virtual metrology system which is mainly designed for the process subject to process drift consists of a fuzzy neural network for calculating the process outcome and wavelet transform for estimating the trend of process drift. Because many semiconductor processes exhibit inevitable steady drifts in nature, virtual metrology is a novel technology to predict the process results based on the previous metrology measurements, instead of measuring practically. The system was implemented to the sputtering deposition process in TFT-LCD fabrication for experimental verification. The results show that it has good generalization capability and performance.
