The characterizing studies were performed using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Atomic force microscopy (AFM) and swelling studies. FTIR spectra established crosslinked polymeric network structure of hydrogels through graft copolymerization reaction between CMC and acrylamide indicating incorporation of acrylamide monomer resulting the formation of carboxamide group (>C=O). AFM showed the surface morphology or properties of superabsorbent. The adsorbent (ALP) was characterized by FTIR and SEM analysis. Batch adsorption studies were conducted and various parameters such as contact time, adsorbent dosage, initial dye concentration, pH and temperature were studied to observe their effects in the dyes adsorption process. The optimum conditions for the adsorption of CV and CR dyes onto the adsorbent (ALP) was found to be: contact time (100mins), pH (10.0), temperature (343K) for an initial CV dye concentration of 50mg/L using adsorbent dose of 1.0g and contact time (100mins), pH (2.0), temperature (333K) for an initial CR dye concentration of 50mg/L using adsorbent dose 1.0g respectively. The experimental equilibrium adsorption data fitted best and well to the Freundlich isotherm model for both CV and CR dyes adsorption. The maximum adsorption capacity of ALP was found to be 22.96mg/g and 7.77mg/g for the adsorption of CV and CR dyes respectively. The kinetic data conformed to the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Thermodynamic quantities such as Gibbs free energy (ΔG0), enthalpy (ΔH0) and entropy (ΔS0) were evaluated and the negative values of ΔG0 obtained for both dyes indicate the spontaneous nature of the adsorption process while the positive values of ΔH0 and ΔS0 obtained indicated the endothermic nature and increased randomness during the adsorption process respectively for the adsorption of CV and CR onto ALP. A complete band gap was obtained between second and third bands with a gap to mid gap frequency ratio in the range for the dielectric contrast in the range 11-16 with dielectric spheres of radius with a filling factor of 0.134 and fordielectric contrast of 200 with . A complete gap was not found for the dielectric contrast of 3.9. A complete band gap can be obtained for filling factors for the dielectric contrast in the range with an optimum band gap for the filling factor 0.134 while GaAs () has almost a constant optimum band gap in this range. The largest gap to mid gap ratio of was obtained for GaP (). For dielectric spheres of and larger gap to mid gap ratio were obtained for the dielectric contrast while the largest were obtained for . The influence of surfactant on the crystallite size and morphology of MgO was studied using various parameters. The synthesized MgO nanomaterials were characterized by using FTIR, XRD, FE-SEM and EDAX analytical techniques in order to evaluate the formation, crystalline phase morphologies, microstructures and chemical compositions. The powder X-ray power diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed the average crystalline size of 15.34 nm with cubic structure. The crystallite size increased with increasing amount of PEGs. Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FFSEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) showed that the surfactant strongly affect the size and morphology of nanostructure. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy studies indicated the formation of MgO with the characteristic vibration mode of Mg-O. All the synthesized compounds have been screened for their invitro anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities. Ten Polyesters were synthesised having different aliphatic-aromatic diols in the chain having s-triazine ring as main moiety. The polyesters were synthesized by polycondensation of 6-(N-Piperidinyl)-2,4-bis-(7-Hydroxy-Coumarin-3-carbonyl Chloride)-1,3,5-triazine [PCTC] with aliphatic and aromatic diols. Dark brown, light brown, golden and maroon colour showed by novel synthesized polyesters. The solubility of synthesized polyesters was observed in different solvents. The viscosity was studied for all the polyesters. This polyester showed inherent viscosity ranging from 0.402- 0.709 dlg-1in DMF at 25°C. The synthesized polyesters were characterized by 1H-NMR, FT-IR, fluorescence spectra. Fluorescent polymers are macromolecules with enormous important applications. The measured data indicates the synthesized aliphatic-aromatic fluorescent polyesters, focussing on synthetic methods, properties and applications. Due to their unique mechanical property and workability, their emerging applications involve the fields of fluorescent probe, smart polymer machines, chemo sensors, biological imaging, PH/temperature sensor, drug delivery and in many fields. Structures of the synthesised compounds (7a-7e) were characterised using FT-IR, NMR(1H, 13C) and elemental analysis. The anti bacterial activities of the synthesised compounds were evaluated against gram positive bacteria: Staph and Streptococcus, gram negative bacteria: E-coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, and pseudomonas using 200 µl of 10 mg/ml and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) were also determined. The structural, optical and chemical analysis were investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements reveal that the (CdO) thin film was polycrystalline, cubic structure and there is no trace of the other material. UV-Vis measurements assure that the energy gap of (CdO) thin film was found to be 2.5eV. I-V characterization of the solar cell under illumination at 40mW/cm2 fluence was investigated . The open circuit voltage (Voc) was 4.1V and short-circuit current density (Isc) was 1.44 mA.
