However, the latest surge in conflict has uniquely strained its healthcare system. Hospitals and clinics have been damaged, leading to the interruption of routine medical services and the depletion of essential supplies. Health workers, facing threats to their safety, have often been unable to perform their duties, resulting in a shortage of medical professionals in critical areas. The violence has led to population displacement, creating new healthcare challenges. Internally displaced persons (IDPs) have congregated in camps with limited access to clean water, sanitation, and medical care, increasing the risk of disease outbreaks. This situation has placed additional pressure on an already fragile healthcare system, struggling to meet the needs of both the displaced population and the broader community. \u0000Keywords: Humanit arian-crisis, Manipur-conflict, ethic-conflict, Kuki-Meitei conflict, Healthcare crisis","PeriodicalId":14075,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Medical Science And Diagnosis Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141798114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among the patients, there were 10 females and 5 males, resulting in a sex ratio of 2:1. Tinnitus was the most frequent symptom, observed in 64% of cases, followed by Vertigo (28%), Headache (21%), and hearing loss (21%). 86.7% of Paragangliomas were benign while 13.3% were malignant. All patients (15 patients) underwent radiation therapy, which was used exclusively in 12 (80%) patients and as an additional treatment following surgical resection in 3 (20%) patients. The median radiation dose administered was 50Gy, with a range of 25-54, and it was delivered through Image Guided Radiotherapy (VMAT and IMRT). There were no severe treatment related complications. After a median follow-up period of 18 months, ranging from 6 to 28, all patients achieved local control, defined as radiological stability or regression, and there were no reported deaths.\u0000Conclusion: In conclusion, this study demonstrated the effectiveness of radiation therapy in managing a diverse group of patients with varying symptoms. Anemia results in poor pregnancy outcome and also affects fetal outcome. This study was undertaken to evaluate the response of intravenous iron given to pregnant women with severe IDA and their feto-maternal outcome. Methodology: A prospective study was conducted in the department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, at a tertiary care centre of Northern India. Fifty-two pregnant women with haemoglobin between 5-7 g% with diagnosed iron deficiency attending antenatal clinic were given intravenous iron complex Follow-up after 4 weeks was done and IDA specific blood profile was done at baseline and at follow-up. Feto-maternal outcomes were seen at delivery. Results: The mean age of study population was 25.5 ± 3.96 yrs. Improvement at 4 week follow-up from baseline in hemoglobin (p value-0.001) and iron profiles (S. Iron, Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC), S. Ferritin) (p value -0.0001) were highly significant. On comparing the Hb levels at delivery after intravenous infusion at 28-34 weeks gestation, 17 patients were still below 8 gm%, whereas 35 were above 8 gm%. Distribution of IUGR, preterm labor and blood transfusion in postpartum period were statistically significant amongst both group (p value<0.05). Fetal outcomes were also evaluated amongst the 2 groups. Distribution of Preterm birth, birth weight and NICU admission was also statistically significant (p value<0.05). Conclusion: The intravascular iron therapy definitely has a rapid increase in haemoglobin which can prevent the complications due to severe anaemia in pregnancy and blood transfusion can also be prevented, but iron stores are not replenished to the optimum level, so there is a need to give replacement therapy (by oral route) post transfusion for long term benefits. The rise of hemoglobin affects feto-maternal outcomes even in the last trimester.contrast agents. Imaging studies provide solution for majority of clinical presentations. Generally, transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) is employed as a first line imaging tool and contrast enhanced echocardiography (CEE), contrast tuned imaging echocardiography (CTIE), cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR), cardiac computed tomography (CCT), cardiac nuclear imaging and speckle tracking echocardiography (STE) are encouraged for either suboptimal studies because of poor visualization of left ventricular (LV) cavity or for comprehensive delineation of the cardiac anatomy, its widespread left and right ventricular involvement, associations and complications. We are reporting a case of 48-year old male presenting to us with atypical chest pain and a history of suspicious solitary episode of syncope. His routine ECG was indicative of left ventricular hypertrophy with strain pattern, and his TTE was substandard and inadequate in the apical four chamber (4CH) and five chamber (5CH) views, hence CTIE was performed without the application of intravenous contrast agents, to produce a remarkable illustration of HCM. Keywords: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, contrast echocardiography, contrast tuned imaging, speckle tracking echocardiography, 4Dimensional XStrain, Non obstructive HCM","PeriodicalId":14075,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Medical Science And Diagnosis Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136104284","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
