Some of these relationships involve only those with disability and others are between those with and those without disability. This paper discusses the opportunities, experiences, challenges and strategies that University students with hearing, physical and visual disabilities have to start and maintain sexual relationships at Kyambogo University, Uganda. Results show that their sexual behaviours are shaped by their perceptions, the environment and African culture and traditions rooted in African Ubuntu philosophy. The conclusion is that the university provided opportunities and challenges to their sexual relationships and that those with positive attitudes enjoy healthy sexual relationships and were also better able to deal with relationship pressures that might negatively affect their relationships.","PeriodicalId":140547,"journal":{"name":"IJDS:Indonesian Journal of Disability Studies","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128559939","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fulfillment of these needs includes curriculum, facilities and infrastructure, teachers, and learning in accordance with the principles of Inclusive Education. Teachers in inclusive classes must have the competence to teach students with special needs. In addition, inclusive classes also require Special Guidance Teachers as an instructional design or as a team teaching. However, the training program for Special Guidance Teachers has not been developed in a general, comprehensive, and integrated manner. So that in this article an education and training program was developed for the teacher competence development guidelines in Indonesian inclusive school. If every school requires at least one Special Guidance Teacher, then at the elementary formal education level, junior high, high school and equivalent schools, the total number of Special Guidance Teachers is 259,244 teachers. While for the kindergarten level the number of teachers is 85,499 teachers. Competency Standards for Special Guidance Teachers refer to Minister of National Education Regulation No. 16 of 2007 - Academic Qualification Standards and Competencies of Teachers and Minister of National Education Number 32 of 2008 - Academic Qualification Standards and Competencies of Special Education Teachers. In general, there are four competencies that must be mastered by Special Guidance Teachers, namely Personality, Social, Pedagogic, and Professional Standards. The title of this program is “The Education and Training Program Guideline for Special Guidance Teacher Competence Development.” This prorgam divided into three main subjects, namely general training subjects, basic training subjects, and supporting training subjects with the number 47 subject and 450 hours. This program has not been validated and field tested yet. In the next research step it is necessary to validate it by experts and to do field test to determine the level of validity and effectiveness of the program.","PeriodicalId":140547,"journal":{"name":"IJDS:Indonesian Journal of Disability Studies","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124170478","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among the active coping sequences identified, the individual's positive meaning of crithical events raises a motivational effect and reinforces the individual to be able to adapt to new life as a person with a disability. This study aimed to follow up the findings by exploring deeper positive meaning of participants who meet resilient criteria. A qualitative phenomenological approach was used to achieve that goal. The study participants were four of eight individuals with disability that also participated in the previous research (Hendriani, Retnowati, dan Koesbardiati, 2011). Researchers used in-depth interviews to extract data, and analyzed them with interpretive phenomenological analysis techniques. The results showed that each participant has a typical positive meaning to the event that made them experience disability. The meaning raises the other positive coping strategies that enable the individual to rise from significant psychological pressure, accept the disability and become empowered.","PeriodicalId":140547,"journal":{"name":"IJDS:Indonesian Journal of Disability Studies","volume":"650 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122699026","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui aksesibilitas e-government bagi penyandang disabilitas di berkembang dan negara maju dengan menggunakan metode systematic literature review. Menurut hasil yang ditemukan, masih banyak negara yang belum menyediakan e-government yang aksesibel bagi penyandang disabilitas, baik dari negara maju maupun negara berkembang. Akan tetapi, negara maju memiliki e-government yang lebih aksesibel dibandingkan e-government di negara berkembang yang disebabkan factor kuatnya kebijakan pemerintah mengenai penyandang disabilitas. Sedangkan factor lain yang berpengaruh adalah kesadaran pemerintah dan masyarakat mengenai aksesibilitas. Dari hasil tersebut penelitian ini merekomendasi untuk dilakukan penelitian mengenai pentingnya aksesibilitas e-government bagi penyandang disabilitas untuk tercapainya kesetaraan hak para penyandang disabilitas untuk menerima aksesibilitas informasi.","PeriodicalId":140547,"journal":{"name":"IJDS:Indonesian Journal of Disability Studies","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123900649","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
