In agreement with some scholars, the quantitative approach to the analysis of manufacturing technologies is recommended, and System Dynamics (SD) method is advised in order to measure the effects produced by the implementation of additive manufacturing in supply chains. SD models, simulates and, therefore, helps to understand the dynamics of conventional and additive manufacturing based supply chains. Cost structures can be built on basis of supply chains dynamic models, each of which refers to a different production technology, and used in comparative assessments. The supply chain modeling and simulation is an extension of Virtual Manufacturing to the entire value creation system. In this article, no mathematical formalization of supply chain models is suggested, but rather a method of 'capturing' the variables for value chain modeling is proposed and a decisionmaking process for choosing the AM option is advised.","PeriodicalId":140258,"journal":{"name":"Impresa Progetto - Electronic Journal of Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130568689","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes an original conceptual framework to identify, classify and evaluate innovative initiatives of terminal operators addressed to enhance dock labour performance. We link the innovation concept to a market-driven perspective on the organization of dock work in light of changing market requirements. The conceptual approach not only considers technological innovations, but also organisational and regulatory innovations. The framework is used to analyse a set of innovative initiatives of terminal operators in European seaports. The findings reveal that innovative initiatives can have very different characteristics and ramifications when looking at the type of innovation, the boundaries of innovation, the nature of the actors involved, the (expected) magnitude of impact and the impact of labour performance.","PeriodicalId":140258,"journal":{"name":"Impresa Progetto - Electronic Journal of Management","volume":"17 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114109742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These studies are mainly based on case studies and focus in particular on the new world and the USA. Despite this increasing attention, little is still known on Italian wineries considering the country context. The present study sheds the light on the emerging attention on sustainability paid by the Italian wineries presenting their novel dimensions and practices. Empirical evidences are collected through an explorative field study carried out through 21 interviews. The results show a recent rise of sustainable practices in Italian wineries in which the main focus is on environmental issues. The study also presents a comprehensive picture of the sustainability‐related peculiarities in the context as the Italian culture on wine.","PeriodicalId":140258,"journal":{"name":"Impresa Progetto - Electronic Journal of Management","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125407466","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Social initiatives, however, are not without controversy. Drawing from stakeholder theory, and the main literature on engagement and social enterprise, our research aims to verify the role of the social dimension as a driver of active stakeholder engagement in the social enterprise domain. The research project is based on a survey involving 268 active stakeholders (both internal and external) of 12 Italian SEs. Based on the structural equation modelling technique, our results provide empirical evidence on the antecedents of engagement, distinguishing between job and organization engagement. They confirm the relevance of the social meaningfulness of the work and of adherence to the social values of the organization as pertinent and appropriate engagement drivers.","PeriodicalId":140258,"journal":{"name":"Impresa Progetto - Electronic Journal of Management","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116138254","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
