Sumathi","doi":"10.20902/IJCTR.2019.120323","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20902/IJCTR.2019.120323","url":null,"abstract":"Corrosion inhibition of mild steel in 1 M HCl was investigated in the absence and presence 4-(pyridin-2yl)-N-p-tolylpiperazine-1-carboxamide (PTC) has been characterized using LC-MS. Simultaneous thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry ( TGDSC), were used to characterize and to study the thermal behaviour of PTC. The results led to information about thermal stability and thermal decomposition of PTC. The UV-visible absorption spectra indicate the formation of a PTC-Fe complex. Surface analysis by AFM and XRD confirmed the formation of protective coating on the mild steel surface. Quantum chemical calculation were also performed using density functional theory. The suitability of the crystal for optical application was studied by UV spectroscopy. FTIR spectral analysis was used to confirm the presence of various functional groups in the grown crystals. Preliminary phytochemical screening of N. nucifera was performed for the identification of the bioactive constituents. Methanolic fraction of HPTLC finger print shows three numbers of peaks. Among the observed peaks, Peak No. 2 is having Rf value 0.88 with area 3542.4.Active constituents of Methanolic fraction of hydro alcoholic extract of Nelumbo nucifera analysed by GC-MS. The article describes a detailed kinetic investigation on the oxidation of DBS by iron(III)polypyridyl complexes in the presence of CTAB, cationic micelle. The kinetics in miceller medium is governed by both electrostatic interactions and hydrophobic between micelles and reactants, transition states and product 1-4 . The increase in rate with increase in [CTAB] demonstrates the importance of hydrophobic interactions in the binding of positively charged metal complexes to micelles. P. The existing humanoid demands clean water for daily consumption as drinking, different domestic usages and agricultural activities. It is a known fact that groundwater is the only source of freshwater in the highly urbanized regime. The over inhabitants and non-judicial development of groundwater along with the dumping of untreated urban solid waste is a potential source of threat for groundwater contamination. For the current study, the Kattankulathur Block of Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu has been undertaken to understand the urbanization trend and its impact on groundwater. The block is having a geographical area of 378.536 sq. km with variant educational and industrial sectors and besides with Thirurpour blocks, which is having more than 60% of textile industries. The present urbanized area is of an extent of 55.44sq.km.(2014), which is more than two-fold compared to the year 1995 which was 22.509.km for this block. Present study targets at examining various factors of water quality around different parts of the Kattankulathur Block. The spatial distribution of water quality contours has been plotted using ArcView. The proposed method involves the measurement of Retention time at analytical wavelength 225 nm was selected. The Retention time of Cilnidipine and Bisoprolol Fumarate was found to be 4.053 and 5.730 respectively. The linearity of the proposed method was investigated in the range of 10-30 μg/ml for Cilnidipine and 5-15 μg/ml for Bisoprolol Fumarate respectively. The method was validated for its linearity, accuracy and precision.
